The Traitor in Our Midst Sentences, Vol. 4
(Sentences for traitors, moles, and other double agents - as well as those trying to find them. Adjust phrasing where needed)
"Were you spying on me?"
"I need you to understand that whatever you think, there is a distinct possibility that he's manipulating you."
"If you don't see how this situation compromises us, then I really don't know what to say to you."
"We execute traitors. Didn't you know that?"
"You didn't see anything, alright?"
"I know what you did."
"The next time you decide to stab me in the back, have the guts to do it to my face."
"You do realise that if they catch you, they will kill you?"
"Remember when we had that conversation about how you were going to lay low?"
"As tempting as your offer may be, I am a man of principles.... And they bribed me first."
"I ought to thank you for saving me. You'll be in trouble for that."
"Nobody had that information except you."
"Double agents don't go broke. They die sometimes, but they don't go broke."
"By now, you should know that no one in our business is ever who he says he is."
"I think you used me before, and I think you're using me now."
"MI6 has just given me a contract to kill you."
"I think you're jumping to a lot of conclusions."
"You have some very 'interesting' friends."
"You must never underestimate me, nor I you."
"I'm sorry I had to tie you up. It was necessary at the time."
"I hear you've been looking for me. I'm flattered."
"You know, for a moment this afternoon, I really thought you were going to betray me."
"Whatever you're doing, I'll help you, but you have to be honest with me."
"I don't think your intentions are honourable."
"Every Caesar must have his Brutus."
"I've done a lot of things for you in the past, but this? No way."
"I should have known. I should have seen the signs."
"You got it all wrong. Why would I want to spy on you?"
"You know, if you'd asked me to betray my country for you, I would have."
"You thought I was dead, didn't you?"

Bellara (Very Likely)
Harding wins! I also kinda chose her before exploring other options so-
BUT I'm copying a save state just before so that I can explore more options later.
@1sttalon
ah, it would seem not.
"Hm? Oh! Illario! Sorry, I didn't see you there. I tend to tune out the idiots of the world."
@1sttalon
oh, have you recovered from the kiss?
"Hm odd. My thoughts have turned to violence." They're choosing to ignore him.
"You know I bet I could get some men on their knees..." They trailed off, blinking and staring ahead. What were they saying again?
no bc i'm still hung up on this post and how oc's are expected to deliver more background information than anyone else and i'm here to once again emphasize how crucial interaction and engagement is to their own development both for the character and the writer behind them.
canon characters have the luxury of appearing "more fleshed out" / "self-explanatory" simply because we've witnessed them interact with other characters on screen. oc's don't get to have that when they are first created.
oc's start from scratch. and they can only build themselves based on the way they relate to others. it's literally how humans work.
so, you want to know more about oc's? engage. how? lemme give you some tips based on practices i've applied myself (feel free to reblog and add more):
read their headcanons: most oc's will provide important info there
ask the writer about their headcanons: found a headcanon intriguing? ask for details (e.g. if they mention they have a special item in them at all times, ask what it looks like, what for, its significance). this helps motivate writers to uncover new information about their own character.
ask the character about their headcanons: let the muse explain themselves and see how they behave about something personal, for example.
read their stats: pets? scars? tattoos? anything visible that can be commented on? point it out to the muse and comment on it.
send memes/questions: your best chance is when you see them reblog them so you don't have to come up with anything yourself.
relate them to your muse: does your muse like rock music? ask the character or the writer if they like rock music too.
note: this list isn't exhaustive. it's simply a couple examples from first-hand experience. it also applies to all muses (canon or oc), but needless to say, this post is specifically about oc's, hence the focus on them.
itās a little bit ridiculous and silly to expect ocās to have fully completed biographies and all the details finished before they enter rpc.Ā ocās are a constant development.Ā the canon characters you love had years of being developed,Ā edits,Ā beta testers, rewrites etc.Ā and peopleās portrayals of them continually change and grow within rp.Ā roleplay is collaborative and part of that is with ocās,Ā a lot of the finer detailers can only be fleshed out through writing.Ā the only place they have to go through that development process is through threads and plotting. and itās a beautiful thing to get to be there from the start to have your muse be integral to the development of your partnerās character.Ā Ā
of course,Ā i get needing the basic information,Ā that is definitely rp etiquette.Ā but expecting ocās to have to have months or years worth of developmental work somehow just magically done in mere days to fit some wack standard is just kind of stupid as fuck tbhĀ
SendĀ šæ to accidentally get caught under the mistletoe with my muse.

spotify wrapped has arrived. send me a number from 1-100 for a starter based on that song, or a lyric from it, or send a š for me to shuffle.
Christmas themed sentence starters!
"We should totally hang some mistletoe." "We are not hanging mistletoe." "I don't need gifts. Just give me eighteen boxes of pigs in blankets and I'll be happy." "We should bake gingerbread." "Don't look! I'm not done wrapping your gift yet!" "Look! It's snowing!" "Want to decorate cookies with me?" "I need to confess something. I've never cooked a turkey before." "Wait, did we forget the roast potatoes?" "Present time! This one's for you." "Stockings go over the fireplace, not in the fire." "Hot chocolate, blankets, and the lights on the tree. Is there any better way to spend christmas eve?" "I think the tree needs more decorations." "I think there's too much on that tree." "Oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree. ...Uh...what's the next line?" "We should watch christmas films!" "Why are you putting lights there?" "We need more lights." "That house must be visible from space with all those lights." "You should put the star on the tree." "Can I put the star on top?" "The houseplants deserve tinsel too. Otherwise they'll get jealous of the tree." "You cannot escape the ugly jumpers, (name)." "Are you seriously wearing antlers?" "Get in the spirit, name." "I stocked up on fancy chocolates for christmas three days ago. Now they're gone. I am full of sugar and regret." "I'm practising my surprised face. How's this?" "Why even put candy canes on the tree? Aren't they supposed to be eaten?"
No one talk to them for the next hour.
Funny how at every juncture, they seem to forget just how much he paid attention to them -- both in their youth, and now, as the fine adult they've grown into in his absence. Yet given the circumstances of precisely how they'd come to be under his wing... He supposes that even if they truly do forget that he memorizes the people he loves, it's a warranted response. Remembering how loved one is is a nigh impossible task in the wake of being torn asunder by those only ever meant to love.
"You know that I will answer." Patience pervades posture, tone and expression alike, even if it doesn't quite dig into the core. No matter the events that led them here, keeping a collected front keeps one thing further from being added to the plate of stress pressing down on their head. If by secondary chance, it aids in getting them to express what troubles them on their mind, he'll consider it a secondary benefit. For now, it keeps the burning itch to move at bay.
"Leave you...?" Admittedly, this hadn't been on the list of possibilities. "I wrote to you because I could not seek you out at the time. When you did not reply to anything I sent, I took it to mean you were either dead or had no interest in hearing from me.... I am sorry. I should have been more persistent."
"That's not what I was referring to. You said you were going to do something important and then you left."
They took a shaky breath, arms crossed over their chest as she began to pace. Tears of frustration beading as they dropped their arms, before one hand moved to hair, gripping and tugging lightly. There was so much left unsaid, and they never felt like these dreams gave them much time to talk.
"I didn't reply to your letters because yes, I had no interest in hearing from you. I didn't want a letter, I wanted to see you. To hear what exactly was so important that you'd leave me to wander-"
She stopped her pacing abruptly, growling in frustration as they rubbed at their head. Turning once more to their father. "You were just gone, and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye! You just LEFT!"
