I was in complete shock when I heard I got the part, I’m still trying to comprehend it, to be honest. Even now it hasn’t completely sunk in. Throughout the [Kingsman] audition process, I never got any director’s notes. I just had to trust that Matthew liked what I was doing. He knows exactly what he wants and his eye for detail is phenomenal, but unless he doesn’t like something he just leaves you to it, which in the end is quite good, because you get to make your own choices.

Eggsy had to admit, he had been distracted.

While training to be a Kingsman was indeed rather challenging, it also was a great deal of fun for him. The process of becoming the best person he could be, to do something as cool as possibly becoming a spy thrilled him, but it could often lead to moments like this, where he just didn’t stop to think or really pay much attention...

He hummed lightly as he walked, JB trailing along beside him as they strolled through the halls. Most of the other recruits took their pups outside, but for whatever reason, both he and the pug could relax a bit more indoors. He snorted, watching as the dog took off ahead of him and tried catch up before promptly tripping over his own two feet.

“Bloody hell...” He groaned, making a mental note of where exactly he was hurt. He sighed, rubbing his elbow slightly, which had slammed against the floor before glancing upwards and finally realizing that he hadn’t been alone. The tips of his ears began to turn pink, a small frown forming on his lips out of embarrassment. “Please tell me you didn’t see that...”
