She’s only 3 months old but was born with a generic eye disease which means her eyesight is growing increasingly worse over night. I no longer sleep because I’m constantly watching over her. She sleeps on my chest or in my arms like a baby and she is terrified of noise because she cannot see where it’s coming from or why it’s happening and it breaks my heart. So far I have worked my ass off in several jobs with very little sleep in order to fund her operation but there’s little time left so I am bringing this to the tumblr community to ask for your help. I am patient, am I not?

Time had never been a good friend of mine. It had always found new ways to walk around me, pass by me , evade every attemp I made to grab a tiny piece of it. Since the day I met it, my effords to “get on with it” had never been reciprocated. We simply had not managed to co-exist.

I had always thought that I was a patient person. However, only recently have I realised that merely waiting for something that you want to happen to occur is not patience. It is only a tiny part of it. The largest part of patience is, I have come to understand, simply related to “you” during this waiting : The things you feel and do. Are you feeling fine? Are you able to give this thought of “waiting” a rest and do whatever other things you should or must or are obliged to do? That is to say, are you able to go on living; having a good time, enjoying your company of good friends, or feeling the small satisfactions of little victories of everyday life?

OR ARE YOU FEELING NUMB UNTIL THAT VERY EVENT YOU “PATIENTLY” LOOK FORWARD TO? Well, now and finaly I know the latter applies to me. This is phase one. The second phase is to change it. As it is for the most of things.
