Chrysler Valiant VG Pacer Hardtop, 1970. Chrysler Australia used the VG series to introduce the Hemi 6 engine. The sporty Pacer version had been introduced with the VF Valiant but only as a 4-door saloon. For the VG series the Pacer adopted a 245ci double barrel Hemi 6 and became available as a 2-door pillarless hardtop as well the 4-door saloon. The 2 door bodies were shared with the American Dodge Dart and were imported from the US. Ahead of the A-pillar they used Australian built bodywork shared with the Valiant range. In total 1162 Hemi Pacer Hardtops were made.
