next mayravi b plot: May and Ravi have been dating like. a month. two max. and Ravi is so entirely smitten that one day while they’re hanging out and May is being particularly cute he just blurts out I love you!

and May is. VERY weird in response. and doesn’t say it back. and Ravi spends the whole episode agonizing about how he said it too soon and scared her off. and then someone (Athena?) talks to her about it and May reveals that the reason she freaked out is because she realized she DOES love him back and that now that the feelings are REAL the fact that he’s a firefighter (same job Bobby died doing) is scaring her. and Athena is like well I’m a first responder, Harry’s a first responder, you know we risk our lives every day and she’s like yeah and I’ve learned to live with that. but now this is one more person I love who might not make it home to me. and maybe it’s…maybe it’s one person too many.

and then idk she has some kind of epiphany about it and tells Ravi she loves him and explains why she freaked out. and Ravi opens up about how experience as a childhood cancer survivor and his perspective on spending the time with the people you love while you can even if you think you could or KNOW you could lose them.
