Whenever they gave us one of those "read through ALL the instructions before you begin!" trick assignments in school where the steps lead you on an increasingly ridiculous goose chase until the final one tells you to just put your name on the paper and turn it in without doing anything else, I was always like, "Okay, but what's the point? Surely the REAL world won't be anything like this." And then I grew up and discovered that not only is the real world often exactly like that, some people won't even read the first line of the instructions even if they make perfect sense. And these people are called "co-workers"

I don't know, but the teen wolf writing subtly implying that the bite is a gift and is supposed to invoke some sense of responsibility into you, is kinda problematic. Especially when the plot proves that that the bite is anything but a gift, and also the fact that the victims are usually teenagers.

the bite / transformation as a metaphor for grooming or SA. with Peter biting Scott and then Lydia without their consent at all, taunting them and using them. Jackson literally demanding it, going to Derek so he could do it, and then ending up humiliated by him with the kanima test and turning out something completely different than a werewolf [ AND THEN being used by Matt AND LATER GERARD as some kind of slave, completely out of his mind and body ]. Derek biting Isaac, Erica and Boyd, supposedly with them ‘knowing all the pros and cons’ while obviously being manipulated because they’re vulnerable teenagers and he needed a pack to go against Gerard’s army.. but then the whole thing kinda fell apart bc Scott did bit Liam to save his life, and was pretty good to him overall.

malia trying not to like and feel attracted to theo is just so funny to me. there's the coyote connection that makes her want to bond, but there's the fact that he's the new guy that stiles doesn't trust. she tries to be loyal while trying to dismiss theo, shying away and getting aggressive when theo's making his moves on her. but she fails cuz she admitted that he's attractive so she gets all cute and awkward while theo's being motherfucker. it's basically like, ‘i want him but i can't, but he's so hot’ lol
