Thanks to prequel appreciation society, I just learnt that all six Star Wars movies were recently converted into adorable children tales by Golden Books. I saw one glimpse of what was inside (AOTC) thanks to daily dose of padme, and I went completely gaga!
Each book has a different illustrator and you may even recognize the one for Attack of the Clones; Ethan Beavers–he’s done notable illustrations in comics for Clone Wars, Samurai Jack, Batman and etc.
So after finding this all out, I rushed to find HQ images from inside the books. Well, it turns out Kobo had a sale for new members; a $5.00 credit for any purchase over 5.01 but… it ended tomorrow (Aug 31). So I signed up instantly and bought the book for just $1.12 and now I’m here to share.
These were the only illustrations of Padme and Anakin together but the whole book is worth the read. It’s incredibly endearing to see AOTC translated for just a child to understand. It makes me want to be a kid again, if only for an instant. I’m hoping to eventually get a look inside the Episode 1 and 3 books, should be interesting how they interpret ROTS.
