LONGER AND ACTUALLY FORMATTED twilight princess zelda thoughts and ideas now that i am home from work

she’s a calm, decisive, and strong-willed princess. when she began having prophetic dreams about what was to come, she decided she would not wait until disaster had struck and rely on a hero to rescue her kingdom. she would put an end to it at once. after zant’s arrival to hyrule castle, however, she realized she underestimated the strength of her opponent. or, she underestimated the joy the goddesses took in watching their little game play out. she isn’t sure which, though she is leaning towards both. she rarely regrets a decision and while she does look upon her surrender with guilt, she knows there was no right or good choice, and she did what was best in the moment.

aside from that she is also very gentle and caring, a deep well of LOVE and a very soft princess. she treats everyone and everything with care and understanding. overall just. a soft princess. insects, mice, and other pests are not to be killed in the castle. they are to be left alone at best and relocated at worst. her quiet nature is mostly due to her being incredibly thoughtful and (again) calm. she is always observing and thinking but rarely voices these thoughts. her brain goes a million miles an hour and she doesn’t expect anyone to keep up. not terribly expressive, but feels a lot and feels very deeply.

she adopted one of the puppies seen running around castle town. his name is Sir Beaufort (beau for short) 

writes poetry in secret, lover of all forms of art and greatly supports all of hyrule’s art scenes (theater, music, etc)

in love with the night sky, fascinated by it. star charts and constellations decorate her room and she is often seen on the balcony at night just gazing up.

messy, for a princess. her room is an absolute sight and she doesn’t allow it to really be cleaned. the clutter is somewhat comforting to her.

ALSO lemme apologize for not being super active. i work 10 hrs a day 4 days a week and i have like. a 45 min commute so im always way 2 tires after getting home for rp!

any time a suitor approaches zelda and begins with a longwinded spiel about how good they will be as king and how great they are she just defaults to thinking about dumb shit link has done instead and zones out

“i’m afraid i don’t know much in the ways of fashion, but i must say that you do always look quite nice.” it didn’t help ease those feelings, that fear that a person did not exist beneath the title of princess, but it did help to take her mind off of it. “perhaps you could help put together an outfit for me someday.”

voice but a whisper, blue eyes wide (with shock? fear?) as the princess peered at the hero from beneath her cloak. this was not how she wanted to be seen, by anyone but least of all him -- in common dress, a dark hood pulled over her face, weaving between the crowds of castle town as guards called after her. she swallowed.

panic set in.

“w...well hello, dear hero!” her voice was a little too quick, a little too shaky, as she spoke. she laughed and it sounded forced. it was. “how unexpected to see you here! in this part of the city at this very moment!” 

a voice called out from somewhere in the crowd behind her, calling for her, far too close for comfort.

she could run, but...she feared link may not understand quite what was happening, that he might give her away.

“ah, well, yes-- i would certainly like to speak with you and...um, have a chat, as it were, but it is terribly crowded here, don’t you think?” her hands gripped his sleeve and she gave a slight tug, towards a darkened alleyway that would be perfect for hiding -- if, of course, that was what she was up to. “i’m certain we can find somewhere more suitable! if you would just come with me...”
