When Sirius really looked at his brother then, something tugged so harshly at his heart.

It’s easy to love the moon, Sirius supposes. You could admire its beautiful glow for eternity if you truly wanted to.

but you can’t even try to steal a simple glimpse at the sun before you’re forced to blink, to save yourself from the inevitable blindness, from the cruel torture.
