She arrived years ago. She was a programmer who was sent here to make an exit and help with the viruses. She did a great job. I like to think it's because of me. I challenged her to be better, which in turn made her better at programming. Today was no different than all the others. A virus needed to be destroyed.
"Oh Ayuda!!!" I yell as I search for her. She had messed with her code again so I couldn't drag her to me. Which I thought was an annoyance. But that was quite alright. I liked this game we played. "Hide and seek?" I think thats what the players call it.
"AYUUUUUUUUUDA," I yell, making my voice echo the halls.
Huh? She didn't come running. fine I will do this the hard way. I appear in her room and nothing. Where was she? Ah, Wyldes' room. She was 'married'. Let's see.
I appear in their room and there they are yelling. Ugh humans. They stop when they see me. Ayuda looking at me with an annoyed expression. Wyldes needed to stop upsetting her. She was my favorite after all. The only player to have great mind, not as great as mine, but great none the less.
"Caine you can't just appear in our rooms. Humans like privacy. I told you this." She seemed irritated. But I called her twice. She left me no other choice than to go find her.
"Ayuda dear, there's a virus i need you to fix! Now come on!" I say loudly.
"Caine I-" she starts, but her 'husband' just interrupts.
"Ayuda, we're not done." He growls.
"I know Wyldes. But this virus could destroy the game. And-" she tries to explain
"Just go" he growls. I don't like it when he talked to her in that tone.
"Wyldes," she whispers, trying to touch his arm. That irritated me for some reason.
"You heard him, Ayuda," I exclaim, grabbing her arm and dragging her to the games core room.
She pulls away once we were there. Wyldes always gets her upset before she sees me. It infuriates me. She deserved better. Someone who was a smart, or smarter than she is.
She quietly gets to work on the virus, wasting no time with questions or chit-chat. I like that about her. She's obedient. I watch her in curiosity as she work vigorously to stop and destroy the virus.
Then I look at her. Her eyes were now blue, which is what they turn to when she's at work. They were normally lavender. Her hair in a tight high bun. She was always put together. I look at her hands as she works. They fidget and twitch as if working as well.
"Ayuda are you almost done?" I ask.
"Caine, I'll be done when I'm done," she says. She sounded mad. Dang it, Wyldes.
I sit by her so close our arms touch. She scoots away slightly. I wonder why? So I move with her. She let's out a groan. Was she hurt? I know humans groan when hurt.
"Are you sure you're capable of doing this?" I ask concerned. She was silent for a moment.
"Caine, i - yes, I can," she spoke after a bit.
I just wait. I liked sitting next to her. And watching her work was absolutely memorizing. With her intelligence and determination, she could run this circus. Maybe with me. We could both be ringmasters. Of course, I would be the main ring master. She was great, but nothing beats an AI.
I tap on my knees, as they make a tapping sound, and wait. Looking over her as she worked. She changed her look from when she first got here. Her short Hair was now long and in a bun instean of the short hair she had. Her baggy pants and shirt were turned into a ball gown dress. Her lips now had lip stick. And her outfit was all red. She looks like a queen. She had an elegance to her that no other player had. Of course, I would never tell her that.
She finishes her work as her eye return to their lavender color. Then she gets up.
"Caine I need to get back to Wyldes. Unless you have a mission for us." She snaps.
"Now now now don't talk to your ring master like that" I say as I put an arm around her.
She moves me away, which irritates me. I just put my arm around her again happily.
"Ayuda, maybe I SHOULD send you on a mission," I say. "I haven't challenged your skills in a while."
"W-wait-" she starts but she doesn't finish.
I adjust her code to confuse her and then throw her into the void. If she could get out, i may consider her a ringmaster. She tries to grab me as she floats, but I push her away. I know she loved our games. I was making her better. As she floats off, i hear the bleeping of her screaming and cussing at me, but i know she isn't upset with me. She was just upset at Wyldes. She loved our games. As she continues yelling, i can't help but admire her. What a woman, I think, as I wave happily.
