I'm always grateful when I sign on to Tumblr because I don't want to do homework and I see a post or two that are so goddamn boring that I'm pretty much herded back to my assignment.

I angsted over what monologue I would use for a video audition, could not find one that worked for me so I wrote my own and tweaked it a lot, but now I have to actually film myself doing the damn monologue and I don't waaaant to. It's just for a student film but the director/writer seems cool so I want to do it right.

I filmed it but now I have to actually watch the footage and I can't adequately express how much I do not want to do that. Editing video is frustrating at the best of times, but looking at my own face and hearing my own voice while I do it sounds like torture.

I just got super obsessed with The Magicians and its queerness. I juuust finished watching it yesterday? A couple days ago? and did my usual fevered Youtube search for interviews and that kind of thing, and now I'm rewatching the show but I decided to also look up fan content and it turns out it's actually more like malcontent. Clearly I am a fool for seeking it out because when have fans not been the worst part of anything enjoyable (sometimes they compete with the creators but it's close)? But I'm still irritated.

At least I avoided spoilers for this show 🏆

Procrastination: I’m purposely putting off doing the thing because I don’t want to do the thing and this may or may not be causing me anxiety depending on how important the thing is.

Executive Dysfunction: I may or may not want to do the thing but regardless I can’t seem to do the thing and it is causing me great anxiety because the thing needs to be done.
