Can you write a Finnick/Johanna fanfiction?
Perhaps I could write a drabble, but I’d need a more specific prompt. I like Finnick and Johanna and I found their friendship more compelling than Finnick and Annie’s romance, but I’ve never really connected with their characters on the same level as Katniss and Peeta, which is why I’ve never really explored them outside of a supporting role.
So, since it looks like we’ve got a lot of interest, does anyone feel like co-modding with me? Basically it’ll involve managing the assignments and posting reminders. I’m going to set up a collection on AO3 for everyone to post to and then on reveal day, I’ll set them all to reveal, kind of like yuletide only on a much, much smaller scale.
Now, for some details.
Are we shooting for a Christmas exchange or the week between Christmas and NY. We don’t even have to call it Christmas, Yule or Holiday works for me as well. If we go for Christmas, everything will be due by the second week of December, to give us enough time to make sure everyone has a gift that signed up to get one and everything is running smoothly on the archive. Real life happens and I understand that, which is why I want the two week cushion between due and reveals.
Is this everlark only, or are we going to open it up for all the characters? I’d say a majority vote would carry this one. More pairings means more work for authors, but we can allow other pairings as secondary to the main request.
I think 1000 words is a good word minimum, of course they can go over but that way everyone will get a good, solid story.
