Which animals do you think you and the gang members are?

What animals do I think myself and the gang are? That’s an interesting question.

To be honest, I have always seen myself as a fox, although in my younger years I was definitely more of a jackal. I…wasn’t a very nice man back then.

Dutch? Now he’s interesting. I always call him “big cat” when we’re together so I suppose he’s more of a panther? As for everyone else, I couldn’t possibly say.

(I do have headcanons for this but I’m working on them 🫰🏻)

We aren’t good people, Arthur. But we’re not entirely bad folks either. Now, I’m not particularly the religious type myself but you know what I do believe in?

I believe that every man and woman deserves a second chance. I ain’t perfect. Never claimed to be. With the amount of horrible sins that I did when I was a much younger man has definitely made sure that I will never be reunited with my beloved Bessie again, but I have tried so very hard to do good to at least balance out what horrors I committed.

You’ll be okay, son. Just try to remember to do good.

Hosea sighs deeply. He fully understands how Arthur feels - he always has. On many occasions, he had found himself lost in thoughts of nostalgia - of how the gang used to be. He always remembered it fondly.

I know you do, son. I do too. We may have everyone now but that doesn’t mean that me, you and Dutch can’t go off to do some things like the old days. What do you say, Dutch?

That’s a very good question, and I thank you for asking it. I’ve never actually put much thought into it but I think I would have liked to have settled down and maybe ran a bookstore? I think I can see that. Bessie always said she would love it.
