we'll be moving at the end of september, so naturally i've got interior design on the brain. my goals for our new [slightly bigger!] apartment are a new bed frame, bedside tables, and a new side table for our living room. for the walls i'm thinking some soft of olive color. more on that in my next postings. for today i'd like to focus on my design inspiration, jeff lewis! i'm sure you have seen his shows on bravo. i absolutely love his design aesthetic and his simplistic approach.

the bahamas was everything i could have dreamed of and more. the culture, experience, and sights were breathtaking! sebastian and i had the vacation of a lifetime. so sad that it's over [but looking forward to our next]. we spent the days snorkeling, beach bumming, swimming with dolphins, island hopping, drinking, and eating [a lot]. i'll cherish this vacation for forever and ever.

like i said in my last post, i was in new york this past weekend. since i've moved back i've been visiting as much as possible. the food, fashion, and energy are something i have yet to tire of...
this time was a little different b/c i went with family. when i lived there my parents came a couple times to visit but never with my brother. so this trip was a little way for us to show him what we've been talking about the last 5 years or so.

ritual cleanse wrap up
today is my last day of juicing and it has definitely been an experience. 6 juices a day for 3 days i will tell you is not an easy thing to do. the best part was the variety of juices and the fact that i definitely feel healthier . the worst part is not physically eating for 3 days. i definitely missed chewing actual food. i've lost a total of 4.5 pounds, the final weigh in is tomorrow morning. for those who are contemplating it that have never cleansed before i say do it! you will feel healthier and lighter. definitely makes me feel good to put pure nutrients in my body.

ritual cleanse
today marks the first day of my ritual cleanse juice diet. 6 juices a day for 3 days. days leading up to the cleanse involve no caffeine, eating all natural – which means organic, no dairy, chicken, beef and absolutely no preservatives. I must say, considering how I used to eat, I don't miss it one bit (yet). Just knocked back my first juice and I’m feeling good! stay tuned Friday to see if I’ve survived.

i usually make sure to have one go-to pair of flats. usually neutral. my current pair is patent nude from steve madden and they have pretty much reached their limit... i love the idea of printed flats, but i need them to work for almost any occasion.. work, a night out, lunch with girlfriends, shopping, etc. anyway, i was opting for the usual nude, black, or brown until i saw these beauties from madewell and jcrew! mickey drexler is doing something right... i'm tempted to get them all!

workout mode
we have less than 4 weeks before sebastian and i go to the bahamas! so excited to get there and relax, at the same time terrified of taking pictures in a bikini. despite my efforts I’ve lost a measly 4 pounds in the last 3 months. anyone around me knows that my eating habits aren’t exactly the best. below are my last desperate attempts at shedding those last 5 pounds. wish me luck!
