I still think that my favorite urban legend/folklore fact is that there are certain areas in New Orleans where you cannot get a taxi late at night not because it isn’t safe, but because taxi companies have had recurring problems of picking up ghosts in those areas who are not aware that they are dead and disappearing from the cab before reaching the destination and therefore stiffing the driver on the fare causing a loss for the company.

In a book about the tsunami in Japan in 2011, the writer talked about how there was a huge increase in reports of ghostly activity. Apparently in Japan treating ghosts rudely is basically considered the stupidest thing you could possibly do. For months after the tsunami, taxi drivers would pick up a passenger only to have them give an address in one of the devastated areas. The cab driver often looked up halfway to the destination to find their fare had disappeared. Not wanting to be impolite to the person (even if they were dead) they’d drive to the address, open the door to let them out, then drive away.

boi, yes, I am dropping my ideas to a mute!yamaguchi au and no one is gonna stop me. Basically a headcanon compilation, I’ve always wanted to do one

Tadashi is mute since he was born almost but he can still hear though

His childhood was not only tough because of children mocking him for his freckles, he couldn’t even in any way fight back, because it is not a common thing to learn sign language, so they call him dumb for not being able to speak (like not realizing that one can be born without voice)

but Kei helped him that one time out, the Tsukishima family is definitely very supporting

as soon as the two boys started to hang out around each other it wasn’t long till tsuks got into sign language as well, he’s smart after all

bonus to the above: Kei has gotten so used to it learning it and memorizing by using it, he always accentuate in conversations with his sign language while speaking and honestly Tadashi adores it

since only his family learnt for his sake sign language there are not much people around him who understand him, but the Tsukishimas learned reading it too

also school’s pretty difficult but managable the older they get

shows lots of his mind through music for example

he started to enjoy music at a really young age and started to learn how to play the ukulele first, later the guitar

dodie is his number one inspo

he also learns all sorts of tapping sounds to make beat or rythm and loves the cup song

bonus: own special knock melodies for training camps with the team, everyone has their own and Tadashi is definitely digging it that everyone uses them as to not have to mention who they are through voice AdOrABlE DoRkS

he’s very week to all those musicals and although he is a bit sad to not be able to sing himself he just enjoys so much listening to others do all the amazing work they can do with their voices

the reason how tsuks got into singing lessons beside his piano lessons oooooops

adding music films like camp rock and hsm, pitch perfect ofc, also anyone hamilton

he enjoys classical music and what his generations uses to listen to eitherway, no actual preference

also the two ofc got into volleyball

our Karasuno team is trying their best to learn at least the reading of sign language bc Yamaguchi still hears perfectly fine after all

busy bee Yachi is so fascinated of the two and how fluently Tadashi and Kei talk to each other in sign language she gets hooked on learning it too and draws lots of basic sign language on cardboards and helps the team learning it faster too (like enormous vocabulary cards with figures on them)

Kageyama and Hinata even making bets who learns the signs faster, loser buys the other a meatbun

everyone is just very understanding and patient

and Yamaguchi is just such a sunshine, he finds his own way to express his happiness in his brightest smiles and tender actions, everybody adores him

tsuk did the thing with that sound app in which you can tap a button for a short sequence of any sounds or a sentence and there are all the responses like Adele’s “hello, it’s me” or another one is the “why you gotta be so rude” and 21 pilots’ “wish we could turn back time to the good old days”, they’re screwing and meming all the time with the app on their phones and the team is getting tired inspired by this

lots of music sharing through splitter and sending each other their newest favourites

also the two of them compiling playlists for the eachother for all sorts of situations and also a separate one that keeps updating that remind them of the other

the usual canon “shut up, yamaguchi”-”gomen, tsukki!” dynamic is replaced through a “stay still, yamaguchi” and him apologizing in sign with a big grin but Kei keeps this line for their first kiss shutting him up before he can sign

secretly Tadashi finds Kei’s voice very calming and loved it in their childhood to request from Kei to read everything out loud for him when they read books or looked through catalogues together but Kei later forgets it and Tadashi is too embarrassed to bring it up again till they get together and they do lots of reading while cuddling again

Tsukishima is witty and dry and makes fun of people not because he's an antagonizing little shit not only because he's an antagonizing little shit, but mostly because his little remarks make yamaguchi laugh.

He's rude and annoying but not ever really meaning it, cause that's just how he communicates (kinda like when people banter to flirt but friendship). He's a little edgy of course because his brother (and probably mom) never run out of affection for him, so he doesn't think it needs to be said out loud or shown that he's joking and he does actually care. And little comments or add ons make Yamaguchi giggle, so why should he stop?

He's so soft when it's just him and Yamaguchi, (the store scene!! Are you kidding me!! His voice was so gentle) but you can tell his little jokes, his snarky vocabulary, his entire way of speaking,,,okay, ("why don't you just sneak in?" Included) are made to hear yamaguchi's laugh. (It's so cute seriously the one from the store makes me cry it's so cute) he's annoying, but a cute annoying, since he's just trying to keep his crush's attention.

Pidge actually has a big plush pigeon her brother Matt won her once from a funfair and it looks so dorky like when pigeons puff their feathers when they are cold in winter but the face still looks cute and it’s just very huggable and still soft and fluffy after all these years. And she just can’t get rid of it since it was such a nice memory at the funfair with her brother and she holds it very dear. Whenever she thinks of home she just needs to hug the pigeon and look at the stars, or in this case into space.
