          She keeps her eyes on him and stabs the pie with a fork. There was some hidden meaning there, she’s sure. Considering their very brief history with the dessert, amusement is inevitable.  “It means stop being an ass and you may get lucky.” It’s a tease, mostly. Her attention now fully for the pie.

         confusion  suddenly  turns  into  thrill  when  her  words  hit  him  fully.   he  quickly  tries  to  compose  himself,  as  if  getting  lucky  with  her  bothered  him  or  not.   ❛ consider  me  on  my  best  behavior. ❜  his  eyes  followed  the  fork  momentarily  as  it  pulled  from  the  pie  and  into  her  mouth,  his  own  lips  twitching  into  a  tight  line.
