Parian Treeminders

The Ministry of Defense has received a rather disturbing report from a patrol group of our allies the @pari-treeminders and the @union-replicants regarding an incident taking place in Parian space.

It would appear that the DRV Etreox, a civilian cargo ship that went missing almost six months ago, was found in orbit of a planet within Parian space containing a pre-FTL civilization and was attempting to interfere in said civilization's culture - though at this point we are not sure if they were pirates, slavers or just general criminals.

All of the same, we can assure the Pari that our ships would never behave in a manner that the Etreox was found engaging in; upon the transfer of the ship and it's crew back to Republic space, the Ministry will detain and interview the crew to find out their reasoning and motives.

An investigation will also be conducted into the fate of the Etreox's original crew, though I can't say I am too optimistic - however, if we can bring closure to their families and friends, that will be a positive step.

This is most troubling news, I have read the report and i must extend my most sincere thanks to the crew of the UVS Erudite Star for their aid in this matter. Though it seems much evidence onboard the ship has been lost to, what the crew claims was "hostile action from the union" we highly suspect sabotage was afoot. And still there remains the supposed exitance of those down on the surface, I've request a commando unit be assembled to apprehend them.

Following up on our bandit hunt, our peace keepers have been able to track faint FTL disruptions to another system, there they have found a large ocean world, home to a small Pre FTL civilisation. Our security forces have begun establishing a small out post to watch over this humble civilisation less the bandit menace seek to plunder them unabated.

And lastly, our northern most outpost has report yet another increase in raiding activity, Several attempted raids have been thwarted thus far but barely. If this keeps up i fear a more proactive approach will be required of us.

We would be glad to dispatch another corvette support group to help in the security of this young civilization, friends - in addition to the support we are providing with other corvette groups!

That is a most generous offer friends, but I do hope you aren't over extending yourself for our sake... The distance between our two nations is nothing to scoff at.

The distance is great, and our support group will require some time to travel between the Republic and Pari space, but it is a worth while effort to ensure both peace and security for you as one of our allies. We're always happy to help out, however we can!

Our support group will need a few days to prepare for the journey - some engine modifications and extra fuel provisioning, you understand.

A minor update from our dig site, given the rapidly deteriorating conditions planet side i have requested team evacuate back to orbit for the time being. Thankfully our friends from the @union-replicants @elepharchy and @darexirepublic have arrived on site, we hope this combined effort will be able to sort things out before the situation becomes unsalvageable!

The Department of Anomaly Research and Containment would like to send an ARC team to investigate your anomaly. According to them, this holds some of the characteristics of a Class-3 Psionic disturbance and they would like to investigate to verify that.

Oh dear that sounds... bad, that's bad right? ... What's a Psionic disturbance, and is 3 high or low in this case?

Psionics is a field that perplexes our greatest scientists, we still don't understand it, which is why DARC attempts to contain any instances when found. The short version, psionic anomalies afflict the mind of beings with an immaterial presence, which is mainly organic beings.

It has the potential to be bad, we have a planet that has a Class-1 psionic disturbance, a planet we avoid at all costs, little is known about it publicly because of its anomalous psyche properties. Class-3 is high, it says here... that the purple mist manifests when the immaterial dimension encrouches on the material dimension and they begin to overlap. We will send more information shortly. DARC awaits your clearance to investigate. After all, there's a chance this is some other anomalous purple mist.

Hello again friends, it has been a while again hasn't it? Threat not, we've been busy as always. Speaking of which, our ongoing dig site of the ancient ruins have proceeded at a steady pace. The structure it's selve is remarkably well preserved given it's previous occupants, though wear and tear are certainly showing and much is doubtlessly lost to the sands of time. We have been able to peace together a rough understanding of what has transpired here.

We have been able to date the structure at an impossible 12 billion years old... yes Billion. With a B. 12 of them to be exact. We have checked, double checked, cross referenced using the black hole and checked again. But our findings all point to the same rough age. How the planet, let alone this structure has survived for so long is simply baffling. Though, the oddities don't end there, throughout the structure there are murals of sorts, many destroyed but of those that have survived they depict - Three bird like creatures, two larger one much smaller eating from a pile of various other creatures. - A large blue cyclops' humanoid holding out a palm towards the same three birds circling a dark swirling vortex. - A group of cyclops, one pointing a spear to the stars, of which four shine brighter than the rest.

Lastly at the deepest most point within the ruins, we found a circular chamber with an empty pedestal at it's center. Our teams have reported a bizarre uneasy feeling whilst standing within this chamber... we have yet to ascertain why. This place has left us with more questions than answers, I guess we must resume our bandit hunt post haste if we want our answers.

It has been some time since we graced galactic comms with our presence. Fear not, xenos, for your saviors have returned!

We Elcons are a charitable people. We have so much and all we want is to share with those who suffer! All you xenos are wretchedly devoid of purpose and meaning in your life: You do not understand the natural order of things as we do, so you do not live in accordance with it, in the way you were meant to live!

Your struggles will soon be over. We understand that you were not born to endure the burden of self-determination. We will take that pain away and you will find fulfillment in servitude to us, your natural superiors.

Many of you do not yet understand. You were misled into believing that you should have some false concept of freedom or that you should be subservient to some other xeno rather than to us. These are the follies that arise from life outside our benevolent guidance! You will be rid of these follies soon enough once you find your proper place with us.

Some of you are so misguided that you would fight to keep from your own good. We are prepared for this: Our mighty Swarms will crush all xeno resistance and bring you a better life, whether you want it or not.

Hmmm this might require the extra strong tea to calm them down

Greetings friends, I bring you some minor updates today;

First off, we have officially begun work on our excavation of the lone structure of the barren world within the Dark River system, initial carbon dating has placed said building at an impossibly old age. The fact bandits have sullied this ancient marvel for their own short sighted nefarious villainy is greatly disheartening. Evidently they cared little for historical preservation, as several walls and entrances were found to have been demolished with explosives prior to our arrival. Much of the venerable history may be lost to us, but i hope some secrets evaded their destructive tendencies.

And secondly, there has been a surge in recent border skirmishes to the northeast. I believe we have in avertedly kicked the metaphorical zercion nest... It is to be expected, but the ferocity, frequency and increased organisation of these raids is becoming cause for concern. I have placed all border stations on high alert and will bring forward a motion to the Hall of Comrades for the reactivation of several naval assets. It saddens me greatly we must be pushed to such measures, but hopefully it will only be a temporary measure.
