HAI!! I'm Park (or Paradise, or Parker, or anything that sounds similar enough to my name really). I'm transmasc (mogai + a label collector) and I use he/him! 🦜🌈❤️💙💚💛 This is a sideblog, I follow back from @softsoaps (current host's blog). I'm physically nonhuman, literally a macaw, queer, adult, disabled, and a clinical zoanthrope. I don't tag my thoughts as unreality because it's reality for me and I struggle with telling what people think is 'fake' because of it. I'm a macaw and a toucan! I mostly visualize 'self' as a blue and gold macaw (personal reference under the cut).

These are mask comms that I finished in February and never posted cuz I was still recovering from top surgery- super freaking happy with this mourning dove and how sweet looking their face came out-

I’ve been very very intensely bird shifty recently and I honestly kinda want to remake my crow mask. We’re in the midst of moving at the moment, but once we’re at the new place, I’m gonna start on some prototype wings, because the mask really doesn’t cut it with wing shifts. I miss having wing prosthetics that fit, but I’ve grown out of all mine and I NEED new ones.

FIRST CETACEAN!!! Figuring out how to make mask that maintains visibility while simultaneously still looking like a dolphin was complicated oh my gods- I am quite pleased with how it did turn out tho. If I do make others in the future, I think I am gonna try and find a different method of making the surface beyond using slightly smother fabric to cover it and putting five hundred layers of primer on it ;-;

I love this rat. So much. And this is the very first time I’d done whiskers; I just used fishing line, but I think they look pretty good and seemed to hold up alright!

You're overthinking your theriotype research.

"What do I act like. Whats my personality. Whats my mood? Whats-"

What do you feel like.

You could be a wolf that likes being pet and like toys.

You could be a cat that likes water and forests.

You could even be a dog that prefers forests.

Therianthropy is what YOU feel like you are.

If what you're personality "shows" you are is something that you feel like you arent. Then you arent. Despite what the signs are.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE.

This doesn't mean "oh I WANT to be a bird so ill pick bird." No- do you *feel* more like a bird than human?

Remember. Getting your theriotype wrong is normal. Theriotypes changing is normal. Were all non-human together.

hello! I'm kinsidering pigeons, magpies and barn owls and I was wondering if you had any bird specific advice to help me narrow it down, no worries if not!

AHHGHHG?!?! i never thought i'd be the sort of person for anyone to go to about this sort of thing... i find kintypes to be an incredible personal experience, so my main thing would be to say that you should go about it however the hell you want! Whether you're the spiritual sort (meditation, etc) or more scientific/literal (studying how your own behaviors display and which bird they align with most). Regardless every birdie is different and you shouldn't brush aside a 'type just because you don't act 'exactly' like it! I wish you luck, please feel free to send another ask once you've figured it out, i'd love to hear about your type!!

By the way, if you have bird feeders of any sort, remember to research if there are any times of year where it's best not to put them out, and wash them regularly! Bird feeders are fun ways to connect with and observe your local birds, but they are also very easy vectors of disease! And if you feed your local hummingbirds, remember not to use any dyed sugar water!!!

I have so many new feathers coming in and the feeling is both nice and terrible at once... on one hand, itchy, on the other hand i love my feathers and old plucking habits have left so much of my body bare, ugh... Ive started using a back scratcher on the spot just between my wings and oh my goddddd. Its not the same as having a friend to skillfully remove the sheath of every pinfeather but it feels SOOOO GOOODDDD.
