Võ Thị Thắng was released from prison less than 6 years after this picture was taken as part of the Paris Peace accords. The South Vietnamese government fell a couple of years later.

I don't want to get into the murky waters of "you can judge someone's goodness/intelligence through their appearance" because that's just bullshit, but I do find it a little stunning how the people in the below photograph just look like vicious, mean, selfish idiots, just borderline non-sentient.
I think it's largely a style thing. The fashion makes them look like some kind of human insect, especially with the big stupid sunglasses and the obnoxious colors. As if their whole personality was eradicated and reborn in the last ten-to-two years, and totally optimized for the singular purpose of being photographed in that exact moment, doing whatever it is they're doing. Nothing beyond that seems to matter at all. All their thoughts and feelings and ambitions from the rest of their life have been scraped away so they could be a loud guy in a dumb hat that makes people angry. Really communicates a total inability to evaluate, like, anything at all. They got rid of that to become a dunk-wasp, who owns the libs or whatever, because that immediate moment of feeling righteous is all they care about anymore. Not whatever happens in five years, months, weeks, days, or even minutes. That's how you get shit like this Chud the Builder scumbag. It is all literally just for the lulz. It's /b/ from the summer of 2012 as a dominant voter base. And they look like it, too.
