So far every single villain in this show is someone who's felt outcasted, rejected, and unwanted by the people who were supposed to be on their side.

Catra never felt loved or accepted by Shadow Weaver, or respected by the Horde generally.

Shadow Weaver felt disrespected and unwanted by the other sorcerers.

Entrapta felt like an outcast and a weirdo among the princesses, as did Scorpia.

And Hordak, friggin Hordak, was made to feel defective and cast out by his own creator.

This is turning into a compelling commentary on societal rejection being the driving force which compels evil. Rejection leads to insecurity leads to loneliness leads to anger leads to hate leads to evil.
