now feels like a good time to reiterate that Iranians have been martyred by america + israel already, both empires that possess nuclear weapons, and that Iran does not have nuclear weapons. so now is not the time to joke about america getting nuked-- any retaliation on Iran's part is justified and the only way we escape this situation, but Iran is not going to nuke us, because the entire premise that Iran has nukes is how america justified bombing them and also the exact same rhetoric we used against Iraq and how we killed my countrysmen when there was again no evidence of nuclear warfare. New York City is not going to get fucking nuked. go listen to a podcast or something
now ALSO feels like a good time to mention that israel has prioritized the killings of civilians, children, etc-- that has been its goal, america has defended and materially supported it. Iran has not been targeting civilians/settlers, it has in fact been targeting the people conducting this genocide. so you, some 20 year old in portland in a studio apartment, do not need to start doomspiralling about world war 3. world war 3 as a concept is our deflection of the fact that there are genocides and ethnic cleansings going on that do not materially hurt us in the imperial core. you are not going to be killed by Iran any more than america is already killing you and killing us. if you are afraid of retaliation, i understand, but now is not the time to start joking or seriously humoring the idea that some random people out in miami are going to get nuked by Iran. this self-effacing logic is demonstrative of american exceptionalism, and wholly unhelpful to the oppressed people of Palestine and Iran.
