"Me? I am the one being reasonable here." He knew what he was doing, thank you very much.
Only exception being Bruce.
Well that isn't quite fair. Clark had tried from the very beginning to treat Bruce with kindness and a warmth he frankly doesn't deserve. The man hadn't been deterred by what they are. Despite their very existence being at odds, the vampire had wanted to meet Bruce. Even now, he still stuck around. Something that annoys the hunter to no end.
None of his relentless training mattered, faced with Kal-el, a true vampire, an ancient relic. It wasn't his strength or wit that betrayed Bruce. No, his own body protested against everything he had been taught, begging for what he shouldn't want.
Strong, with a fierce undertone of smoke and spices, but most of all a sickeningly sweet aftertaste. Not even ambrosia, nourishment to no one less than the gods can taste better than this, he is certain. Perhaps a bit biased.
This time, he doesn't snap. It's deliberate, with the slow release of a breath, relinquishing his control. Clark gives in to the pull, no longer using all his strength to push against it. His body floats with his desire, drawn towards Bruce. He has accepted the call, finding peace with the monster inside him.
Exasperation - or is it desperation? - has him janking at the sleeve of his left arm. He pushes up the fabric, revealing the skin already littered with countless scars from his battles protecting Gotham. With forceful indignation, he pushes his wrist towards Clark, offering himself up.
"Reasonable?" Clark nearly laughs at the absurdity. He is used to the hunters' antics. His self destructive, self sacrificing methods. That just doesn't mean he will idly stand by. "Golly, Bruce. You can't seriously think so. You could have died!"
