Reminder that DID, like every mental illness, is on a very wide spectrum. There's such a strange emphasis in the community on stuff being a "DID thing" vs an "OSDD thing" or it's "P-DID actually". People get wrapped up trying to catagorize themselves when it really actually has no tangible benefit to you. Therapists make the distinction to formulate their therapy approach, but to you, the system, it makes no difference. Going "oh but I just have OSDD not DID" does nothing to help you cope, recover, or process your symptoms. Your symptoms are your symptoms regardless of if they're following these arbitrary lines in the sand. You and your system should be focused on healing, not on what checkbox in a book you fit best.

Why the hell is it so hard to make friends?

I literally cannot find someone i genuinely click with other than my singlet friend (my sister) and our partner systems host. The only other people I click with are alters in another system and a few people here.

I really wouldn’t mind talking to someone but they ghost me.

I’m into a few things right now and Im trying to get into more things. Another issue is, ill see people in public that seem really cool and Ill talk to them but they end up being extremely weird to an uncomfortable extent or we end up not clicking. No one lives by me other than our partner system, no one.

It’ll be a miracle if I find someone in college let alone Michigan. Im happy with the two friends I have tbh, but it would still be really nice if I had at least one or two more.

Making friends can be hard, yeah. Finding the right ones is like trying to find a small diamond in a large bed of sand and you have to shift through all those grains to find it.

I've met a few people in my life but not all of them stayed our friends due to similar reasons (them being uncomfortable to be with like you described)

But when you do find that diamond it's very well worth it. I have some friends who have been extremely kind and loyal to me for over three years now and I will always feel fortunate for that.

It took us a very long time, twenty five years to be exact to find those kinds of people but even after that we still had people who didn't get along well with us long after we met them. Over the last year or so I've had people come into my life that I had to let go of because they just weren't good to us at all.

But the ones who stayed made all the effort worth it.

Don't forget that a couple good friends is worth way more then a hundred.

- if endos aren't disordered they don't belong in disordered spaces

- if endos have no trauma they don't belong in spaces made for people who do have trauma

- being a system is both a symptom of a disorder, and a disorder in and of itself, you cannot be a system without being disordered

- being a system is specifically a symptom of and a trauma disorder, therefore you cannot be a system without trauma(you do not have to REMEMBER the trauma. But it has to exist)

• side note: trauma does not have to be "severe" because trauma is subjective.
