There are moments when I feel steadyâuntil one difficult conversation, disappointment, or misunderstanding reveals how quickly that stability can unravel. In Part 8 of my Mind & Soul series, I explore Philippians 2:1â11 and what it means to develop the mind of Christ. Paul points us away from self-protection and control and toward humility, secure identity, faithful obedience, and surrender. Emotional resilience isn't pretending that rejection, conflict, or disappointment don't hurt. It's remaining grounded when life moves beyond our control because our identity is secure in Christ and our lives are held by God. True stability is found in surrender, because a sound mind is rooted in a surrendered heart.
