Good, I’m glad to hear that. What sort of books did you listen to while we were all shut in from the storm?
Mostly mysteries. Those are my favorite. So I was going through my old Agatha Christie novels.

abbizimms:
That’s really awesome. And it’s great that you have them. It’s honestly really cute that you and Sky got to bond over the mystery. I’m sure that was really special for you.
It was. they tried to act like they weren’t interseted, but that went out the window pretty quickly.
lawyerlisa:
Thank you, Timothy, that’s very thoughtful of you. I’m assuming you were able to get your screen readers replaced?
Yeah, I ordered them the first day of hte blizzard so that they’d get delivered shortly after the snow let up.
amberfawzy:
I had a feeling you might say something like that but yes, I’m totally getting you something. I promise it’ll be something useful too. But I’m glad you’ve all got somewhere that’s more accommodating for your family. Your dogs must really like the bigger space too, huh?
So, so true. But yes! Since there’s multiples and I’m supposed to be induced March 28th so it’s a little bit more likely that they’ll get here on time. But we’ll see! I’ve been journalling throughout my pregnancy whenever I remember to, and that’s mostly where I’ve been counting down. I hope he will get into school a bit more when he gets older too. He’s not a bad student, academically, but it can be hard to get him to buckle down and get his work done sometimes. Since he does like to socialize in his own way, I think it’ll become an incentive for him, like if he gets into clubs or sports or things like that.
Yeah, Tinkerbell really loves getting to run around, because even though she’s tiny she thinks she’s a big dog. Sammi doesn’t care as much, but she’s always been more chill because of her training.
That should definitely help, especially since from what I have heard from some of the teenagers at the church there’s grade requirements. Though my high school was too small to have anything like that, so pretty much everything I know there comes from what I overhear.
abbizimms:
1) Hooray
2) Yikes. That absolutely sucks. I hope you had some help.
We held up mostly fine at my place. There was a tense day, but then there was the amazing moment where Milo said his first word!
Yeah, Benjy and Sky were both great, I just couldn’t use my own technology. But there wasn’t a lot going on, so it wasn’t a huge deal. Just gave more time for family bonding. I honestly got Sky to listen to one of my mysteries, and they got really into it.
amberfawzy:
Oh that’s so good to hear. I’m glad that they’re doing so well, and that things have improved with you all having moved into somewhere more spacious. Although now that I know that you guys have moved, I wanna get you a belated housewarming gift!
It definitely is, more so at the very end than any other part, although I don’t miss the morning sickness at the beginning either. The middle of it was the best of the trimesters. That’s very true though. I know he’ll be mostly excited to see his friends again but I don’t really expect too much excitement for the academic aspect of school from a 3rd grader lol.
Well thank you, I don’t know what we really need as a housewarming gift, but I’ll just say thank you for whatever it is in advance. We did kind of keep moving on the down low though, I don’t think either of us wanted it to be a huge deal.
At least it’s almost done. I know that due dates don’t mean anything, but do you have a countdown going anyway? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Maybe he’ll get more into it when he gets older.
lawyerlisa:
It happens, unfortunately. But yes, I’m starting to. Thank you.
Good. If you weren’t probably would have ordered you some soup.
amberfawzy:
Awwww how nice! I bet they loved that too. How are they doing by the way?
Yesss, true! We’re getting really close to their due date! I’m glad about that too, it would have been terrifying to be honest since none of us in the Hernandez home have any kind of medical background, other than me being CPR certified. The twins are good though! Everything looked great at my last appointment. I’ve been really tired again, and a bit more moody, but the doctor says that’s normal. I just have to stay off my feet little more often from here on out and keep drinking a lot of water. And Demetri’s doing really well too although I think he was enjoying the snow days from school a little too much with how much he wasn’t looking forward to going back to school lol.
Sky’s doing great. I think since we moved into Dante’s old place that has helped us all out a lot because there’s a lot more space than in Benjy’s old apartment so we’re not all over each other. And there’s a much less chance of me tripping over anyone’s things. But I think they’re glad to be able to go back to school, they’ve missed their friends.
I can’t blame you for being tired, pregnancy sounds exhaustion. But that sounds like a kid, he got all these days off so why not pretend that it’s the same as summer vacation. But he’ll get in the groove again.
amberfawzy:
Aww Timothy I’m so sorry. But I’m glad you were still able to enjoy some books during all of that!
Things were pretty eventful at one point over here. I started experiencing Braxton Hicks and Miguel and I thought it was early labor but it definitely wasn’t. So that was…something! Lol. The good thing though is that it kind of jump-started us preparing our bag for the real deal, which is coming up pretty fast!
I am too. Plus there was a lot of bonding time with Sky which I’m really glad that we were able to get that time.
Well that’s exciting! It means that the twins are getting ready to come. But I’m glad that you didn’t go into early labor during the storm. I can imagine that would have been terrifying. I’m glad you all didn’t have to figure out what to do. How are the little ones doing?
lawyerlisa:
Congratulations on your survival. It sounds like you found a peaceful way to pass the time though.
I, unfortunately, spent most of the time being sick with a cold. Granted it was probably the best time to have become ill, but I hate getting sick, regardless of convenient timing.
Oh, I’m so sorry. Are you at least starting to feel better now?
Good news: I survived the snow storm.
Bad news: Both of my screen readers (for my phone and computer) both managed to completely break the first day after lockdown and I couldn’t really use anything.
I did however, listen to a ton of books. How did everyone else hold up?
Text --> Dante
Dante: Um. Ok. I'll try.
Timothy: Is there any chance the roads are just slightly drivable enough for you to pick me up at the church and drive me home?
Timothy: I mean I can stay at the church if I have to but I really don't want to.
Text --> Dante
Timothy: So I need to ask you something.
Timothy: But I was to preface it with I did something super stupid.
Timothy: And I don't want to hear the lecture because I know.
benjyhendricks:
“I know! It seems like way too much for a preteen. I don’t think the level of homework they get is appropriate for someone who isn’t in high school yet,” he shook his head. “If they’re procrastinating that is a different story though.”
“That’s very true. Though we also might want to check if the amount of the work is the reason they’re procrastinating, that seems to be a common thing at that age,” Timothy admitted, “Like we definitely still need to hold them accountable, I just also want to make sure there’s not more going on.”
danteaarons:
“There you go. And if you want a couple beach recommendations, I can give them to you guys. Beaches down there that aren’t so crowded but still nice.” Dante hadn’t gone down to the beaches in California in a long time but he doubted much had changed and was sure that if Benjy and Timothy decided to take that sort of a trip, that the two of them could enjoy the peace of it, if nothing else.
“I’ll talk it over with Benjy and then let you know if we need them,” Timothy smiled, admitting that a less crowded beach definitely sounded ideal. The last thing that he really wanted was to be somewhere new when it was jam-packed with people. “At least it’s easy enough for both of us to take time off that it’s not going to be a huge deal. Or at least I think it will be, since I’m not sure how it’s working now that Benjy is joining Emerald’s show.”
benjyhendricks:
“I completely understand. I don’t love the sound of my own voice, but at this point, I’m used to it. I have to listen back more often than I would like to,” he scrunched his nose a little. “How about I finish up a little more with this, and then I’ll help you with dinner - unless Sky gets to it first. But if they want to help, ask if they finished their homework first. I caught them up past 11 working on their homework the other night.”
“Yeah, I’ll make sure to ask. Which speaking of their homework, how in the world do they have so much? Like I know it’s been 20 years and I went to a k-12 school with a graduating class of 10, but the amount of homework they have just seems ridiculous.”
danteaarons:
“Yeah. It’s one of the things that’s not so easy to adjust to, but I know it’s not impossible to either.” He then listened to Timothy and nodded, “Yeah. I could understand that for going alone or with someone who doesn’t know you all that well, but the nice thing with you guys choosing your vacation for your anniversary, you can choose to go somewhere quiet, like the beach or up to the mountains.”
“I don’t think that I’ve ever actually been to a beach, so that’s a pretty good idea,” Timothy admitted, “I’ll have to bring it up to Benjy. Plus if we go to California we could easily drive and that makes the trip a little less stressful.”
