What Makes Something Cute??
Round
simple
pastels
soft, squishy, huggable,
“baby proof”, no sharp edges
Add a face!
Food! for some reason.
Animals
Young features. Big eyes but all other features small, roundness, big forehead, small/weak jaw, button nose, chubby.
Essentially...things are cute because they share qualities with human babies. And humans instinctually find our own babies cute to encourage us to care and nurture them.

guidelines for a successful logo
A stand out tip was finidng the balance between obvious and abstract. the obvious has been done a ton of times while the abstract could be too farfetched. Strike for something that is a bit of an “inside joke” in a way. The customer needs some understanding of the brand to get it. Apple is the forbidden fruit of knowledge and technically has nothing to do with computers but a connection can easily be made. Strive for a logo that requires a little bit of thinking. Just a little.
