I especially love their depiction of Patty because she is draw with preference for stylish feminine clothing in mind, but without the exuberant style she wore as a teenager. These dresses really suit her, and all the other ladies look stellar too!

Dante drinking tomato juice: patty is confused

Dante hasn’t had a lot of missions lately so now he’s drinking him so tomato juice. Patty is confused as to why he’d like the taste of that. Patty is so dun to draw look at her, shes so cute~ meanwhile Dante is just like :| let me drink my tomato juice in peace child.

dante keeps rejecting patty's attempts to form a contract for power with him for aaaaages out of a concern that being immediately, directly connected to him like that would get her into a LOT of trouble, which is true, but then she gets into about exactly as much trouble anyway due to already being connected to him personally if not literally and then doesn't have enough firepower to defend herself. so he caved. nina honestly kind of hates this whole situation and as much as she feels indebted to dante wishes patty wasn't so attached to such a dangerous guy when they finally got out of the situation with abigail.

vergil picked up on the situation a little bit in hell and was baffled dante of all people had bothered to do any of that until he realized patty was basically his kid

anyone whose ever suggested a domination / subjugation gimmick for patty is barking up the right tree 100% straight sorceress warlock wizard shit. dante probably associated with her DT equivalent

I like how in the 2007 dmc anime, after Dante upsets Patty with his comment about her parents not teaching her manners. He subtly tries to make amends with her or brush off the issue. Like to some degree it bothers him that he made her upset. He offers her a walk home and promises her the presence of her mother at the shop. All those attempts fail and naturally he gets frustrated. His small outburst of calling her a brat who will never learn is just frustration. Which I think fits his desire to be human all the more. People get frustrated when they’re met with failure again and again. It’s natural. Plus children can be little shits from my experience.
