What's the backstory for how you got into Zuko/Sokka in ALTA? 😊

I think it started with a fic called 'Salvage' by MuffinLance, where it has Zuko join Hakoda and his water tribe separately from the Gaang. No Zukka in it, but I love this fic, and then I started looking at fics that used it as a launching point for their works, and the favorites of people who favorited the fic and Hakoda adopting Zuko type works.

From there I think it was 'The Art of Burning' that had some then eventually 'Leaving it All Behind' and 'Warcrimes.'

The fics utterly convinced me that these two go together so well and have a wonderful dynamic.

Do I think it's remotely canon, of course not. But it'd be awesome if it were, because the dynamic between them is so fun.

Watch the Boiling Rock episodes and you can see- wow these two just are fun to watch together- it's always been my fave pair of eps in the show- and now that's ever more true.

And Dry Devil's bed being in the same spot next door, and the shit he probably hears. Might I add the possibility of him drunkenly wandering to the wrong bed at the wrong time.
