Bauhaus Abstraction Poster: This poster was created in Graphic Design II and has been designed using the Adobe Illustrator program. The purpose of this project was to advertise for an exhibit (Located at the Blanton Museum of Art) while maintaining a Bauhaus influence.
Bauhaus Complimentary Buttons: These buttons were constructed in Adobe Illustrator and then crafted into actual buttons as a complimentary piece for my Bauhaus Abstraction Poster
Bauhaus Complimentary Buttons: These are the hand-crafted buttons created in Adobe Illustrator and displayed below the Bauhaus Poster. These buttons were to be given to individuals attending the exhibit for which the poster was advertising.
Instructional Design: The purpose of this project was to create a design that has some type of instructional component. This is my ‘Volleyball Approach 101’ poster. It provides step by step information on how to do the proper volleyball approach. —Actual size of Poster is 72in (W) X (H) 17in
Kitchen of Meaning - 'Lexicon': The purpose of this project was to create a poster based around a designated word. My word was Lexicon. The requirements for the poster were to keep the poster size at 18 inches wide by 24 inches tall. The name of every student in your class (featured in the exhibit) as well as the date, time and location for the exhibit had to be displayed. This was my first poster creating a typeface (vector) from my own handwriting. Everything you see here on this poster is hand-drawn.
Kyle's Weather Report
This is a creative weather video I made in Advanced Typography. The video has elements of category, hierarchy and location. Enjoy.
Personal Geography - Perceptual Map: A form of travel from my apartment on-campus to class. The purpose of this project was to link my journey through senses during the experience. Perceptual: a negotiation between artifact and the human being. It is the form limited and redefined by the human senses.
LATCH - Category
Animation using Adobe AfterEffects. Video has category component to it.
Material Studies - Process Booklet
Digital Rendering
Material Studies Booklet: The booklet seen above is my material studies booklet. The purpose of this project was to analyze and manipulate several different materials (pencils, matchboxes and crayons) in order to make a typeface. The book displays the process of exploration for each material. ***The actual booklet can be seen on the following post.
Beginning Design Form Booklet: The image displayed above is my hand-constructed form book. I have many different form drawings within the book (movement and pattern displayed).
LATCH Exercise - Blue Squares
Animation Video using Adobe AfterEffects
Symbol Methodology: These symbols have been created to define the Apple iPhone in my own terms. Process behind symbols can be seen in earlier posts.
Critical Mass - Nuclear Fusion
Digital Rendering of Allegory: Nuclear Fusion. Both the key and the necklace are 'fused' together to create a higher energy-state (angel wings). Video images were hand-drawn, scanned and then placed into Adobe AfterEffects for video animation.
