Holiday Matsuri 2018 was just amazing! I had an amazing, and cosplaying Valka just made me so happy. There is room for improvement because I'm definitely not done.

This cosplay is not 100% complete, but I am over all happy with it.

I need to do her armor from the 3rd movie. Feburary 22nd cant come faster!

Yesterday I made this piece of cotton look like fur.

I couldnt afford fur, and I had this piece of off light tan cotton. In the future I'll be remaking this with the right fabric.

I started with 2 layers of coffee staining. Then I rubbed pastel on top of carpet to get that texture. After that I painted the edges with white and an off white shade.

I love how it turned out. Today i can sew it and start the last layer.

Getting a lot of progress done for Valka.

The chest is all out togeather. Just will have to go back and reinforce a couple of things/ clue up some edges.

I put together the belt today! How I want to to attach is with velcro pinned up front. I pinned off where I want it to go.

Then I'll add the weathering and attach the details.

Is anyone else concrunching for holmat? 😭

For those of you who don't follow my Instagram story, I've finally started one of my dream cosplays.

The first part that I wanted to work on was her chest armor. I didn't want to spend money on actual leather, along with be uncomfortable from the heat. So I got 3 shades of suede/faux suede, and salvaged the fabric I was going to use for Witch Mercy.

@costumesbymonty help me pattern the chest along with the idea of using craft foam to cover with the fabric. Which I greatly appreciate it. I was going to get the foam interfacing, bit that runs around 7$ a yard and I was too impatient.
