A probably already agreed upon hand canon Bruce is the type of dad to be overprotective.

But not just to his kids other kids, be it the ones on the streets of Gotham or just a kid of a random villian

In task force x live action movie, it’s shown that Bruce as Batman had to apprehend dead-shot while he was out with his daughter Zoe doing Christmas shopping

In my mine Zoe is around the same age as Damian and to Bruce it twists his heartstrings and it hurts him even more to see Zoe push herself in front of him to stop her dad form shooting him

Bruce’s emotions are unclear cause of his Cowell but beep down he know if Zoe ever looked back at him at that every moment he probably would have let deadshot go

And then it would dawn on Bruce deadshot was doing what he did to support her.

Ever as he waits for Gordon to show up with officers to take deadshot to prison he see a side of deadshot he never thought a man with a death wish would have a side only a loving father comforting their children

It reminds him of him and Damian, the nights when storms are a tad bit to loud to the point it sends Damian into fear shock and lead to him to running to Bruce for comfort normal kid stuff.

Also note:

Deadshot is probably the most underrated Batman villain and he’s not talked about enough

I truly believe that he became an assassin/hitman to support his family aka his daughter

It’s stated in his fandom page that Zoe is his soft spot and if she’s threatened in any way he’s compelled to do anything to make sure she’s soft, and if that something is serious as murder to be the solution for her safety it’s a risk his whiling to take
