Tossing back the rest of his drink, Dominic looked over to the person a few seats down from him. Being part of the working class was exhausting to Peach. How the average person did it day in, day out, she could never bring herself to understand. Out in the garage, the elf had been working on several different projects since the morning.  It started with the truck, doing the oil change and checking other parts under the hood. Alex's seemingly nervous reply only made Peach feel more unwelcome in the home than she already did. Despite being raised in the south, maybe her idea of hospitality had turned a bit too northern for their liking. All she had wanted to do was to make him feel welcome and perhaps make a good impression. Perhaps she had failed at that. The blonde was mere moments from all but pleading with him not to leave when her brother had returned. The sight of him was both a relief and a concern. 

Her cheeks flushed, causing a warm pink to stretch over her fair features at the sound of his voice and she couldn't help but feel like a child that was about to be scolded. "You haven't interrupted a thing, Beauregard," she replied curtly as gaze fell to the floor. "I was simply trying to make your dear friend Alex feel invited. I apologize if it was not my place."
