华文小学的利与弊

在我国的教育体系，小学分为国民小学（SRK）和国民型小学 （SRJK），即华文小学和淡米尔文小学。这里我们要谈的就是马来西亚国民型华文小学。当今华文小学教育制度，到底是利多于弊或者相反？其实不管是华小或国小，我国政府制定的教育提纲是大同小异的，分别在于一个以华语授课，另一个以马来语授课。

在九十年代之前，华裔家长都比较喜欢安排自己的小孩到以英文或国文为主的学校上课，相信孩子以后可以得到不错的就业机会。然而，随着中国大陆的发展， 华文逐渐变成必须通晓的语言之一。此外，值得一提的是近年来马来西亚华校培养出来的学生在世界各地和各个领域都有不俗的表现。这些种种因素体现出华文的重要性，进而促使华文小学开始得到家长们的青睐，也吸引了不少我国友族同胞纷纷为孩子报读华文小学。因此在华小，学生从小就接触不一样的文化与交流，这会大大提升他们以后出社会的适应能力与团体生活。
