A lot of fascist talking points appeal to emotion first & foremost- baseline, simple, primitive concepts- think of the women and the children- you have to explain to people, over and over, that people don't deserve to die even if they are bad people; you have to appeal to their egos- "what if it was you?" To make them see injustice; You have a lot of "leftists" posting "it's not sharia law, look at Zohran and his wife, dressed just like Us (westerners)" and "look at these photos of Iranians partying and playing boardgames"- people ignore the implications that these people don't deserve the right to life if they weren't "like us". This too, is orientalism.

they're calling the daily murder of 30-60 palestinians in search of food "the hunger games" now, because it has been going on for nearly two weeks where israel will set up aid distribution points as bait and then shoot the starving people going and coming to get it.

and you would think the chances of dying are so high that people would refuse to go there, but then i think about if people in my family, especially children, were crying from hunger in front of me i would not hesitate to go. and i also remember this essay, about hunger. you would do anything to end it, including take your chances with unseen, sadistic israeli soldiers lying in wait with their snipers ready.

Seventy-four years ago, on June 25, 1950, U.S. imperialism used the United Nations as a cover to launch a genocidal war to prevent the liberation of the Korean peninsula and to invade socialist China.

In the Fatherland Liberation War (known as the Korean War in the West), the Democratic People's Republic of Korea led by Kim Il Sung was able to beat back the U.S. invasion to the 38th parallel with the help of Chinese volunteers and Soviet material assistance.

The human toll was enormous. U.S. and puppet forces carried out massacres of civilians in the south suspected of sympathizing with the socialist north. Twenty percent of the population in the north was killed. Every building above one story in the north was destroyed by U.S. bombs, as was the country’s industrial and agricultural infrastructure.

The Korean people in the north had to rebuild their country from the bottom up. Today, thanks to a planned economy and the political mobilization of its people, the DPRK is a strong socialist country that is able to defend itself and its neighbors from U.S. aggression.

Although an armistice was signed in 1953, the U.S. government still refuses to sign a treaty officially ending the war. The Pentagon continues to illegally occupy south Korea on behalf of Wall Street, using it as a base for subversion and military aggression throughout the region. But none of this has blunted the desire of the Korean people, north and south, for peaceful reunification.

Hearing Netanyahu justify his attack on Iran by saying "Now just imagine 10,000 tonnes of TNT landing on a country the size of New Jersey. This is an intolerable threat." made me see red.

This is the man that had dropped 85,000 tonnes of explosives on Gaza by November 2024—and god knows what that number is now. The blatant hypocrisy is expected but it's still so absolutely insane to hear with your own ears.

Horrifying to think about the impunity of the West. Horrifying to witness Western terrorists dehumanizing whole communities and then audaciously couching it as a necessary stepping stone to peace. A city was continuously bombed and put under seige for over 21 months in the name of Jewish safety, and the West upheld the opinion that this is not a genocide.

The Gaza genocide has been live streamed to us by the victims themselves, and every hypocrisy of the Global North is so obvious and yet it talks of a war. Literally what war?
