So do we think those two boys celebrating when Percy came back to camp are the Stoll brothers or Caster and Pollock?

I understand people's criticism that Percy and the others are too smart and they know too much, and in some level I agree. What I think is my main problem with the "knowing things before they happen" is that it takes away the mystery of the mythological world. When I was younger I loved how these myths existed within our world and were seemingly normal until something Very Strange™ happened that tipped the demigods off that something wasn't right. It made me feel like the mundane could be fantastic.
Of course I loved reading about Percy's thought process and how the heroes figured out the situation, but what I HATED about the movies was that it made Percy dumb and downplaying his abulities. For the Lotus Casino in the movie, Poseidon speaks in Percy's mind telling him not to eat the Lotus flower. I know in the show he didn't figure it out, but they were all a part of making the strategy.
There might be a lot of exposition telling the audience what's happening and what we're in, but Id rather that than Percy being dragged through the quest dumbly.
I think a lot of my critiques stem from the fact that there are a limited number of episodes that are only like 25ish minutes each, but I think these issues are not unfixable. The show deserves a second season because they are still getting their footing and with a little more showing rather than telling will go a long way.
I keep seeing people saying the “fail to save what matters most in the end” is about Percy’s mum, but I was always under the impression that it was Luke that he couldn’t save
I have always thought this also and that the explanation in the book about Percy's mom was because he was trying to figure out how the prophecy resolved itself before Percy knew about Luke's betrayal
AU where Neil never joined the Foxes, but ended up an Exites employee. He plays short one-on-one games with players who want to test their new racquets, and has inadvertently honed his skill against so many different types of players with different expertise. Andrew's group goes to get Kevin some new equipment, and Neil knows better than to play well against him. But Kevin forgets himself and gets a little too excited about testing out a new racquet, whipping the ball at Neil so fast that Neil instinctively slams it back hard enough to light up the goal on the opposite side of the court. Kevin is slack-jawed that some random retail worker scored against him so quickly and so easily and shuts down for a minute while his brain reboots. From a distance Neil swears he hears someone mutter "Interesting". Then Kevin's brain is back online and starts begging him to try out for their team. Neil realizes their is one thing worse than being recognized by Kevin Day and dragged back to his father: not being recognized by Kevin Day and trying to convince the grown ass man to get up off the floor and stop clinging to his legs and holy shit jackass, can you pretend to have some dignity??
Why are we sending all these ADHD kids into the attic without giving them at least a pen and paper when it is important to exactly memorize every word of prophecies
Listen Hera couldn't erase Annabeth from Percy's memory. A little lotus flower fumigation has nothing on percabeth.
i had a vision
Thank you Rick for including the line about Percy being impertinent. I distinctly remember looking up that word when I was in third grade, so it's thanks to the lightning thief I know what it means
Hold fast. Brave the storm
Broke: Percy being menace to his New Rome University professors about events he was a part of
Woke: Annabeth "these aren't riddles" Chase absolutely schooling her professors on the Battle of Manhattan and Athena's superiority to every Roman god
I like the idea that Percy slogs through this quest to get recommendation letters, and when he submits his application, New Rome University is like thanks but you didn't have to do this you saved Olympus twice didn't you read the fine print
Day 25: Temptation
"He held out the cards, and I wanted one."
Day 24: Fairy
Day 22: Heist
"The Olympians are so arrogant; they never dreamed someone would steal from them."
Day 21: Bad Dog
Mrs O'Leary's first impressions usually don't go all that well it's not her fault
Day 20: Bluff
"Okay, Gaea. I'm calling your bluff."
Day 19: Ponytail
