Ok so a quick post on the end of Son of Neptune. *MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

READ ON AT YOUR OWN RISK*

So I wanted to post this the other day and completely forgot but I was reading the end of Son of Neptune and I read the lines where hazel sees Leo and says Valdez. Because she sees Sammy, and I don’t remember if they introduced his last name before but when I read it I was like wait what?! And I had to after finishing the book literally put it down and stare mouth open for 5 minutes straight and not a lotta shit makes me do that so props riordan but also WTF?!

I also had music on and despite the BTR tracks (yes I was on a nostalgia trip as well) and the weird anime songs I get so compelled to (the more ya know right?) reading that battle scene at the end was fucking amazing and I was totally immersed!! (I’ll leave screenshots below.)

Also I read the beginning of mark of Athena and first of all PERCABETH IS BACK. WHICH JUST FBXHFZDBBXSFBCZD

Also Percy makes an inside joke (surprise there, huh?) which I’m pretty sure is referencing Son of Neptune? (Correct me if I’m wrong on that - I thought it was at the beginning where Percy bursts the water out in the game.) and I just screeched XD. Like I’m starting to understand the love/hate relationship we’ve got with Rick, who for real though I’d die to meet.

(Plus I’ve just been introduced to the Percy/Jason bromance I’ve been teased to by the fandom and I already love it ❤️)
