Acting never was about the money for me. Maybe in 10 years, I’ll be able to appreciate the fact that I am financially stable and independent and I don’t have to make bad choices. I can be very picky.

(ormvnd:)
Without a word, Ormand outstretched his hand and tapped upon the other’s shoulder, waiting for them to turn so he could make their skin crawl. Once the figure turned towards him, he arched his brows and let his already slackened jaw fall open, two fuzzy legs emerging from between his teeth at first; it became apparent quickly he had a small spider held in his mouth. He remained still for its sake until it had climbed up onto his cheek, at which point his lips curled into a smirk, but he didn’t say anything.
Perdita was standing around, hovering her head above her phone screen. She was waiting for a reply from a friend when she felt the tap on her shoulder and she closed the screen, looked up and turned around. At the sight of Ormand, she smiled faintly. “Can I h-...” Her eyes widened when she saw the spider and she put a hand to her mouth to stifle any sound. “That’s-... that was-..” she stuttered afterwards. “Impressive?” she squeaked.
Perdita & Chip | Warped rules
(chipped-lens:)
“If it fails we’ll make pie,” he grinned. “May have to google the recipe but yum, pie.” Chip laughed as he was pulled along - this was the first time he’d laugh since he read the rules. “Maybe it is just to scare us for the big show at the end of the month - to get us all worked up. Really, all I’m scared about is something happening to you.. which I guess is corny but true,” he admitted, stretching out on the couch. His arm casually rested on the back of the couch behind the girl. He cleared his throat, his cheeks a tad red. He watched the girl, admiring her up close like this. “Derek and I are going to try have something blocking the door, maybe you might want to put a chair against the door. Or you can come hang with Derek and I.”
“I’ve never actually had pumpkin pie before,” Perdita admitted. “I’ll be, like, the map-reader, only it’s going to be a recipe, and you’ll be the driver, or the cook. So to speak. Sound good? I’ll also make sure we have the other ingredients just in case,” she beamed a happy smile up at Chip. She was surprised to hear that he was so worried about her. It made her heart flutter, and blood rushed up to her cheeks even though she tried to resist. “Really? That’s... that’s really sweet, Chip. I’m worried about you, too,” she scooted closer to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. “You live with Derek? I had a class with him, once. He seems like a great guy. I’ll definitely poke my head in soon, I just have to speak to Joy in that case. And I sort of don’t want to leave her alone in the dorm, what if something happens to her? We’ll figure something out...”
(hello-ragdoll:)
“It’s just a day where a person just takes time off from whatever they’re doing to relax and not worry about anything. It’s meant to relieve stress.” She explained nervously. Seeing Perdita’s expression sour caused Sally to inwardly panic-a reflex she had to anyone who seemed upset. “Chip?” She blinked, “Wait! I think I know who you’re talking about. Tall, friendly, French?” Her mind flashed back to the new friend she made. “Wait-thing?” Turning to him, her eyes got an interested gleam that always shined whenever the prospect of romance was brought up.
“Oh... is that a thing you’re supposed to do on your own? I don’t know, with all these new rules, I try to be alone as little as possible. What would you do on one of those mental-health days? Just.. things you enjoy? Stuff that relaxes you?” Since she was still somewhat new to the concept, she thought aloud. Perdita was so used to being pushed to and beyond her limit that such a day seemed like a waste of time, but she trusted Sally. Perdita smiled at Sally’s reaction and nodded. “Yes, that’s him. He lives right next-door to me. Yeah, we... we went on a date and we’ve kissed but it’s nothing official yet but I sort of like him.”
(dean-pain-johns:)
“I come here to get more tolerance to deal with all the idiots on campus.” Dean said flatly. Not wanting to really disclose why he spent so much time in the bars.
“It can get pretty overwhelming sometimes, yeah,” Perdita nodded and smiles faintly at the bartender as they served the two their drinks. She grabbed her glass and took a sip from its contents, glancing at Dean. “I need a break from campus and school in general. I rarely drink, but I figured why the hell not.”
(sora-on-destiny-island:)
“We should be safe then, if not… Well… I guess we’ll know better for next time.”
Perdita nodded eagerly. “Alright! Shall we go, then?”
(derek-prinzton:)
Derek really didn’t even have to think about the question before he answered. “Baseball. I would love to play professionally, but since that doesn’t always happen, I decided that some with political science would be the next best fit for me.”
Perdita smiled at Derek. She liked it when people really aspired to work with their passion, their hobby. It showed great character, she thought. “It’s always great to have a backup plan.”
