Another attempt at tapestry crochet I did recently, this time with my beloved peregrine falcon. I love this a lot more than the previous one! This stitch (half double crochet waistcoat) works better with a smaller hook, and this yarn in general is just better than the one I used before.
Just doodling :)

annoying grades talk
finding recourse in the digital pseudonymous diary as i am so anxious about my grades (even though they are literally good (i think?)) because talking about this is anathema in grad school and i do not wish to alienate my peers but i don’t know what the meaningful difference between A/A+ is and if i should be trying harder and it is so silly
i was proud of that paper and the feedback is good to receive and she was kind and yet reading into the space between “great” and “excellent” haunts me. i fear i will never be able to write a good conclusion to a research paper
I’m just not good at a lot of the concomitant things for academia like networking and presentations and so if i can’t write a truly excellent research paper what do i do?
