Following up my previous question, is there any reason to be nervous during a panel? Ive always wanted to be in one its just that i have bad anxiety so i tend to over think and exaggerate some things.
Theres a million reasons to be nervous, the crowd could be unenthusiastic, you could freeze up, half your cast could be no shows, your paint could smear, your copanelists could be just awful and you want to facepalm the whole time, your cosplay might be on wrong, your wig might be crooked. You might not get any questions. You might get EVERY question. Do the mics explode? The lights could tip over and leave you with a $700 bill.ORYour cast could be awesome and support you to the moons and back, the crowd screaming in delight, you hold your character in a deathgrip and dont miss a beat, your cosplay is flawless and your wig has every hair in place.Being nervous about a panel is perfectly normal. Its what you do with the nervous energy that makes a huge difference. Does it amp up your characterization? Or does it drag you down? Cause nothing should ever drag you down. Falling stars arent real anyway. Theyre rocks lost in space. If we had a real star fall on us, wed be dead years before it actually made impact. Draw in your fears and burn them!! Never be drawn in by them.
