“When you are attracted to people, it’s because of the details. Their kindness. Their eyes. The fact that they can get you to laugh when you need it the most.”

if you can’t eat a whole meal, eat half. you ate, that’s what is important.
if you can’t get out of bed, try and sit up instead of lying down. it’ll be better for your back and your blood pressure.
if you can’t shower or have a bath today, try and brush your teeth and clean your ears. it’ll keep you a little cleaner, and we often forget those areas.
if you can’t get dressed today, change underwear and use some deoderant. it’ll leave you a little fresher until you have the strength to change fully.
and remember, i’m very proud of you. your best will look different every day, and that’s okay.
“To make the right choices in life you need to get in touch with your soul. To do this, you need to experience solitude, which most people are afraid of.”
— Deepak Chopra
“Someone who is worthy of your love will never put you in a situation where you feel you must sacrifice your dignity, your integrity, or your self worth to be with them.”

“Sometimes, the strongest people in the morning are the people who cried all night.”

“Your peace is more important than driving yourself crazy trying to understand why something happened the way it did. Let it go.”

“Have you ever noticed when you’re tired, your fingers don’t grip things as tightly as they should? That things slip through them more often than you wish? I feel as though I am those fingers and life is slipping through me.”
— Kelsey Danielle, from “Life And Other Things.”
“Don’t believe everything you hear. There are always three sides to a story. Yours, theirs and the truth.”
— Unknown

is it time to return?
like a book i borrowed from the library, i was excited to read you. i annotated you, marked the pages where the sentences made an impression on me, flipped the pages when i had time to give them the best of my attention. now it feels like the deadline is almost near, and i'd have to return you to the library. i don't want to do that. i want to keep you at my bedside, within hands reach. i want to be able to pick up that book and read it over and over again, hold it secure in my embrace. i want to remember every line from the front cover to the back, have them at the tip of my fingers. i don't want to forget you, i refuse to. if it takes me to rewrite each line i memorise by heart to keep the thought of you alive, i'll do it. don't you see? this book has me by the neck.
i saw a quote that said “i feel like i’m constantly worrying about the next part of my life without realizing that i’m right in the middle of what i used to look forward to.” and i felt that.
