Maybe the wolf is in love with the moon and each night cries out for the love it will never touch ❤️ . . . . [ This is a photo from a long time ago. Wolves howl to communicate with one another. But in ancient times, it was thought that Neolithic humans imagined wolves with the moon, there are even cave paintings of wolves howling at the moon. In Greek mythology, the goddess of the moon was Hecate (Diane in Roman), and she is said to have kept the company of wolves as guardians. In Norse mythology wolves chase the moon and sun endlessly- and this causes the summoning of night and day. A good piece of advice when traveling in wild places is to never travel alone. Always travel with other people. The Kodiak Grizzly Bear. 

The biggest recorded male was 750kg, while large males can stand at 3m tall.
