What a truly mind blowing thing you’ve turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into. I’ve been watching videos of you guys in the theaters dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we’re known for 😇 One of my favorite things you’ve done was when you supported Cruel Summer SO much, I ended up starting The Eras Tour show with it. Midnights is a wild ride of an album and I couldn’t be happier that my co pilot on this adventure was Jack Antonoff. He’s my friend for life (presumptuous I know but I stand by it) and we’ve been making music together for nearly a decade HOWEVER… this is our first album we’ve done with just the two of us as main collaborators. We’d been toying with ideas and had written a few things we loved, but Midnights actually really coalesced and flowed out of us when our partners (both actors) did a film together in Panama. Jack and I found ourselves back in New York, alone, recording every night, staying up late and exploring old memories and midnights past. We were so lucky to also work with our brilliant collaborators Sam Dew, Sounwave, Lana Del Rey, Jahaan Sweet, Keanu Beats, William Bowery, and Zoe Kravitz. Laura Sisk was our excellent engineer. The wonderful and wise Beth Garrabrant took the album photographs. Midnights is a collage of intensity, highs and lows and ebbs and flows. Life can be dark, starry, cloudy, terrifying, electrifying, hot, cold, romantic or lonely. Just like Midnights. Which is out now

long story short: flo and shia were hired to do the film. shia quit bc scheduling conflicts. olivia begged him to stay and throwing Miss Flo under the bus for some reason. he left anyway. abuse allegations came out against shia from fka twigs. olivia started framing his departure from the film as her having a "no assholes" policy particularly to protect florence. she hires harry. they start dating. rumors of her being a bad director start swirling. florence is MIA from all promo and is radio silent on the film. magazine cover story comes out with olivia's savior story. shia says no that's not true ellen you were invited. video/texts of olivia begging shia to stay leak. texts btwn shia and florence leak, showing they were cordial and never even met in person. florence "can't make it to venice press conference but will be there for evening red carpet bc of scheduling conflicts with dune". florence arrives to venice 15 minutes after the press conference starts but doesn't go. florence's stylist posts an ig of florence with the caption "miss flo." olivia's stylist posts an ig story with "there's always more to the story...". the most awkward red carpet ensures where harry, olivia, and florence do not interact for even one second. they screen the film. harry kisses nick kroll. olivia and florence look at eachother Once and clap. florence leaves the theater early, cutting the standing ovation off at 4 minutes. reviews of the film end up kinda shit.
