okay, iām finally making this post because iāve gotten my living arrangements made, so now comes the less fun part.
so i live with my grandparents in southern california, and have been for the past four years after my mother was arrested multiple times for drug possession. basically what happened is this: last tuesday at my therapy session, my therapist brought my grandmother in and prompted me to come out to her as transgender. my grandparents are extremely religious, and promptly told me i was being kicked out. my grandfather had the sense to tell me that i could at LEAST stay until i found a place to live, as he didnāt want me on the streetsā my grandmother just wants me out asap.
my dear friend tashaĀ has offered me a place to stay with them, their s/o, and their sister up in salt lake city. i initially didnāt want to leave the state, but there is nobody i can stay with here long-termā my mother is in a sober living home, my father has spoken to me ONCE in the past 14 months (and is just overall a vile, awful person), and a lot of my friends in the area either canāt take me or are in a similar position.
my problems right now are a) hauling all of my shit up to salt lake city, and b) expenses in the coming months until i can get settled and find a job. i have a ride up to SLC, but i need to be the one to pay for gas, which is around 115 dollars each way. outside of that, i need money for my hormones since it will take time to get my insurance sorted out (150-ish dollars for 2-3 months worth) and other expenses (hygiene, food, bus fare, etc.). my base goal is 400 dollars, but 500 would be more ideal, as it would make this entire disaster a lot easier to swallow if i didnāt have to worry about whether i could afford pitching in for groceries or not.
iām willing to take emergency commissions or donations (if anyone would be so kind), and my significant other maho is open for emergency commissions as wellā iām leaving on the fifteenth and need all the help i can get. my paypal is [email protected] for anyone willing to just hand me money out of generosity (iāll make it up to you SOMEHOW), and iāll have commission information up on my art blog very soon!
