No. Was she being serious? Also no. "Hey now! Who's to say you weren't transported here with me? Why am I the accessory!?"

She shrugged. "Dunno. It's definitely weird, but what are we going to do about it? I doubt we can just guide a Bangboo out of here, right? Maybe Fairy could do something, but we don't have our stuff."

"No, I am pretty sure I came here with you, dear sister," he jabbed back, teasing her the way he would usually do. But there's gentle relief in this sibling ribbing. The fact that he's able to do it at all with her here, in this strange, foreign land... he wouldn't know what to do if they ever get forcibly separated.

"Yeah. We... don't have anything, really." He hated pointing that out, but they're way worse off compared to that time where that hacker took their main Phaethon account.

"Hell of a predicament we have. There's getting lost in a Hollow. Then, there's this." He glanced down and noticed Eous. He smiled. "'Least you have Eous with you. Is it doing okay?"

KARA STRAIGHTENS, staring down her nose at him indignantly. " slow down "? this is slow. unfortunately, she is unable to go any faster--- and she's tried. this place appears to have an adverse effect on her powers, with only her strength remaining intact, and even then, it wanes. regardless, she decides to take him at his word... for now.

" then how would you propose to assist me? " a brow arches skeptically. it seems he knows as little as she does, so the prospect does not favour either of them.

her focus wavers upon the mention of ice-cream however, and the kryptonian's head whips around.

" where?! do you think they would have ' mint chocolate chip '? oh! what about ' cookies and cream ', o-or ' chocolate chip '? " she beams, searching eagerly in the direction to which he gestures, " maybe they have ' pancakes ' too--- i have heard pancakes are a delicacy on earth! "

The way her energy switched from intense to a different kind of intensity caught Wise off guard. Who knew just mentioning something as simple as ice cream could get someone this worked up about it. Though, the way she reacted did put a smile on the video store manager's face.

Desserts sure had a strange power over certain people, huh?

"I'm sure they'll have a handful of those in there. But... well, only one way to find out, right?" He gestured for her to follow him and soon, he's walking steadily towards the cafe, unaware of the consequences his poor wallet was soon about to face.

"What's your name, by the way? I'm Wise. I came here with my sister recently."

it was more or less out of curiosity, she isn't normally the type of person to stick her nose in anyone's business...but maybe right now she'll be a bit nose. aoko walks over to the older man to see what he was tinkering with, ah some sort of technology? "excuse me, what do you have in your hand there? would it be alright if i took a look at it?"

"i've never had to experience with such advanced technology." everyone on this island was an eye opener for aoko, evwn though she wanted to scream and yell about being 'unfairly being snagged from her home and placed here.' oh well, it was probably some sort of magic that brought her here. aoko promises to herself that she will look into this.

she hums, "you seem like you really know your stuff."

Initially, he thought having the H.D.D. might have been a waste of space, as useful as this device was back home. It was made for surveying the Hollows in New Eridu. But this place didn't have Hollows, so Wise deemed it as nothing more than paperweight here.

But he had a thought. What if he could use it here anyway? Spirale, as this place is called, had a lot of regions and areas that might be too dangerous to explore for him and his sister, Belle. Perhaps there might be a way to adapt the H.D.D. so that they might be able to use it here?

It was in the midst of this line of thinking that Wise heard a voice. "Hm? Oh, this?" Wise holds out the device to the young woman. "Unfortunately, it's kinda useless in here at the moment. ...Wherever here is, even." Wise sighed. He too, held a similar sentiment to being snagged away from his home. At least his sister was with him.

He smiled at the compliment. "Thanks. It's about the only thing I'm good at. That and managing a video shop but... well, I don't have that here either."

" what... is this place? " it... looks like earth, but somehow different to what she has experienced thus far. the technology could almost be likened to... krypton. her mind thrums with a thousand questions, each more dire than the last, but perhaps she will settle for a mere few for the time being, then continue from there.

" you! " swiftly approaching a stranger amidst the crowd, she addresses them firmly, " i have some questions that need answers. "

only when she is toe to toe with them does she stop to resume her point.

" what planet am i on? where can i find its ruler? and most importantly--- is there somewhere nearby where i can sample this city's ' ice cream '? "

Well, being accosted by a stranger certainly wasn't on Wise's to do list today. Normally he'd simply refuse the attention with a simple wave or a polite bow, but something told him that doing so with this particular stranger wouldn't work.

Alas, he'll have to entertain her questions.

"Whoa there, slow down a bit," he cautioned, though more for his sake than hers. A tad intense, isn't she? "Um... I'm afraid I can't answer question one, since I also don't know what planet we're on. No idea for it's rulers neither and... well, why don't we find out together?"

Wise points a finger down the street. "That there looks like a cafe. They might have ice cream."

"Anything that we dream can be real..." It reminded her of Penacony, funnily enough, but even then the thought was still exciting. Firefly closes her eyes and holds out her hand and in an instant...she hears the startled yelp of someone passing by who's head became incase in what can only be described as a helmet made entirely of jello!

"Not exactly what I wanted, but I guess it's a start! And...sorry!"

Is this... is this jello? Oh, it was all over his head. How did that happen? Actually, nevermind. He immediately found the culprit of the jello head helmet-er.

"Um... is this perhaps what you dream of when you sleep?" It's a little childish. But charming, in a way. Wise waved it off though. "Apology accepted. I just hope I don't have to eat my way out of this thing. Erm... could you dream it off of me or...?"

"She has a bunny-robot? That's really cool," That's a detail that will work in Ismael's favor for sure. "Alright. Well, what kind of things does your sister like? Maybe we can start with places that are similar to those things? Oh, actually--,"

Placing her index and middle finger to her lips, Ismael whistles a loud noise. After some time, two owls swoops and perches nearby their owner.

"They can help us, too."

Wise's eyes widened as Ismael suddenly whistled, blinking in surprise as two owls perched nearby. Wise looked genuinely impressed.

"I didn't think I was in the presence of an animal tamer. That's really impressive," he complimented, genuine in his delivery. "What're their names?" For a moment, Wise thinks before answering her earlier question. "Oh, Belle's into music and tech. She's also into movies and video games."

"She sounds like she keeps you on your toes," Ismael says with a light smile. A distraction is nice. For now, she's got something to focus on and it was helping this guy find this person.

"Not at all. This place is huge and while it's peaceful for the most part, it can, uhh...Well, people can get lost." Wouldn't want that. Now, with an exhale, she's ready to go.

"Is she like...a friend or something?"

"That she does," he says with a smile. What would he ever do without Belle's energy around the place? It just wouldn't be the same, frankly.

At her question, Wise gently shakes his head. "No. She's my younger sister. We came here together just recently." Very recent, in fact. Wise continues, "Hmm... she should have Eous with her. Oh, Eous is a bangboo. A small, bunny-like robot."

So he's looking for someone. She gathers herself as best she can before coming out from the alleyway fully. At least he's not questioning anything. It's a relief, really.

"I haven't, but uhm..." Looking around at their surroundings, she turns her puffed eyes back to him, "I can help you look for her if you want, Wise."

"I'm Ismael, by the way."

It's hard not to notice her puffed eyes. She'd been crying, this lady. Wise decided not to bring any attention to it hence, why he asked about if she'd seen his sister, Belle, instead.

It helped that it distracted her, at least.

"Nice to meet you, Ismael," he returned, smiling warmly. "I'd appreciate that. I met up with her some time ago but... she ran off." Or rather, he got left behind. Belle had way too much energy for someone who just got dropped off at a world.

"Sorry to impose this one you after... erm, yeah. I don't know my way around just yet."

You know, she thought the back alleyway would be the best place to get some kind of privacy. She can't get that at home with Kyrie around at least. Damn.

She's quick to wipe away ANY evidence on her face that screams that she's been crying.

"N-No. I'm fine! Just, uh...I'm not hurt or anything!" That should be enough to keep whoever away.

Oh, she definitely wasn't fine. Wise felt guilty, feeling like he'd intruded upon something private. Something not meant for him.

"Alright," Wise relented, despite knowing otherwise. Times like these, experience told him it was better not to press. If this woman said she's fine, then she's fine.

But that didn't mean he was just about to leave just yet. So he switched the topic and asked her something instead. "Um... my name is Wise. I'm new. You didn't happen to see a girl about, this tall, blue hair, bright eyes, energetic?"

Unfortunately, Wise isn't one to turn a blind eye to something like this. "Excuse me," he called out gently from the alleyway's entrance. "Are you okay? Do you need any help?"

A... lizard thiren? Huh, that would be new to Wise. He'd seen all kinds of thiren back home in New Eridu but he'd never seen anyone quite like this woman. Still, he greeted her with a smile. Not for nothing but he is a manager of a fairly popular video shop back home.

He's pretty good with social interactions, overall. So, what's one more in this strange new place? Might as well start making new connections!

"Is that...? Grace!" Wise waved at the older woman, clad in her usual work clothes it seems.

"It's so good to see a familiar face. I didn't think I'd run into anyone else I knew in here." But that was concerning, wasn't it? Grace being here meant that anyone from New Eridu might find themselves trapped here as well.

"If it ever happened to me I was expecting to get reincarnated as a cool mage or something, though. Just being me is kind of lame."

It was a stroke of good luck that they had somehow ended up here together. Wise would have been beside himself had Belle went missing all of the sudden.

"Belle, I think we should be grateful that we didn't actually go through the process of reincarnation." As in, they didn't have to die to end up here. Which was a good thing. "Still, you're awfully calm for being suddenly transported here with me. You doing okay?"
