I think a lot about how when I was 11 or 12 things were really bad at my dad’s house and I wanted desperately to live with my mom, but my dad found my diary in which I had written that I wanted to run away and he tried like hell to prove that it meant I wanted to run away from my MOM even though it was written at HIS house. Anyway that’s the story of how a courtroom full of strangers ended up reading my childhood diary in full while I sat on the world’s most uncomfortable bench pretending not to exist.

Note from a graphic designer who has to fix this shit all day: rich black is prettier sure but for the love of the gods don’t use it for text if it’s going on newsprint. If its anything other than solid black it will bleed out and become unreadable.

Half my job is fixing this mistake all day from people who really really should know better. And now you know!
