Hi, I go by Pharmamon on here! I'm a PokéPharmacist Intern from Ula'ula Island. I'm pretty new to Rotomblr, so forgive me for any mistakes!

Hi Rotomblr! I'm Pharmamon. I'm a PokèPharmacist intern in Ula'ula, and they stress professionalism at my workplace, so my real name is staying offline for now! You'll be getting plenty of (anonymized) stories though, lol.

I'm a flying-type enthusiast, which is pretty obvious if you look at my team. Zapatear is my (baile-style) Oricorio, Quinn is my Fletchinder, Miller is my Murkrow, and the newest addition, Nimbus, is my Swablu.

I'm pretty new to Rotomblr. If you recognize me, feel free to say hi - so long as you don't tell my boss I'm on here!

I am actually studying pharmacy irl, but Pharmamon is much further along in their course than I am.

I love to commission rotomblr artists to draw my muses' pokemon. Currently I am not commissioning artists, but that won't last long!

Pharmamon is working on game-style logic, so sentient / intelligent pokemon will be waived away by Pharmamon as trolls unless sufficiently justified (e.g. legendaries).

Help, my Sobble turned invisible and so I didn’t notice in time before I accidentally stepped on its foot and now it won’t talk to me :( I keep saying I’m sorry but I fear the trust has been broken

ouch, poor guy. this sort of thing isn't uncommon with sobble- they have a habit of getting underfoot and turning invisible because they like to stay hidden.

it'll come back around in time. they're just fearful pokemon that can take longer than average to overcome things that have frightened them. you can try putting a little bit of berry in the palm of your hand and see if it'll climb onto you, then offer another treat.

make sure you get its foot checked sooner rather than later, too. their bones are pretty fragile, and even a light step could cause a fracture. if its foot is broken, that will also make it hide more. sobble tend to stay invisible and release their onion stink to keep potential predators away when they're injured.

Which is to say, if you wish to convince someone to leave a cult or high-control group, you will have better luck by being a friendly, non-threatening outside presence than by trying to argue them out of it. (Further reading)

It will take time and kindness and a willingness to listen to their point of view without always trying to argue against it or be right. You cannot logic someone out of an organization that is preying on their emotions, identity, and need for connection.

If you do not have the patience for this, or you are at risk of harm or recruitment from the cult, walk away. Block them, keep a polite distance in the workplace, simply don't engage. You are not required to do this work, especially for a stranger.

It is a dick move to approach cult members who are not in your space or actively harming someone and threaten them with violence. It will only reinforce their leaders' claims that the cult is the only place where they are safe.

HOWEVER, if you, your community, or your Pokémon are actively in danger from a member of a cult, you are morally justified in defending them.

Calling someone's belief system a cult is a fast way to convince them you have no idea what you are talking about and should be ignored.

Fellow non-competitive Pokémon trainers, PLEASE listen to me. If you adopt a Pokémon who is from a species that evolves at all, for the love of dragons, *keep track of what typically causes that evolution.* Even if you and your partner aren't regularly battling, certain species have really wild evolutionary triggers!

This caused a lot of issues for my mom as a groomer because people adopt tiny Pokémon with odd evo trigs and then treat them like they're guaranteed to always be tiny. Your Inkay can and will evolve seemingly at random into a Malamar, and suddenly, it is not cute when it tries to cuddle in your lap. This really goes for all pokemon, but please plan long-term.

I live in Nimbasa city, and there is proposed legislation right now for all non-gym tournament registered Pokémon to be issued an everstone collar. In rural areas, it's one thing for your little Growlithe to evolve into an Aracnine. It is another when you live in an apartment building, and he almost burns the place down due to behavioral issues and lack of forethought in his training.

To add onto this, please y'all, before getting a Pokémon do some research into them as a whole, even beyond evolutions. Not all Pokémon make good appartment companions. They need their space, to go outside, occasionally have playdates with other Pokémon... It's a big responsibility. And that's without mentioning that some Pokémon have specific needs that are unique to their species.

I have seen quite a lot of trainers who were unprepared to owning a Ghost type Pokémon and they ended up feeling sluggish all the time and went to see multiple medical professionals without ever mentioning that they have a Gastly or something at home.

Always ask a lot of questions to breeders if you are unsure about something. I think this everstone collar legislation is an interesting proposition depending on how enforced that is.

But yeah, I just want people to do more researches before taking on such a big responsibility. Kalos is after all one of the regions with the highest Pokémon abandonment rate each year, usually around the holidays - some people don't want to bother with accomodations and sometimes the paperwork needed to fly a certain Pokémon from one location to the next and that is a shameful reality.
