Hey, I wouldn't discard your reputation so quickly. You've made a name for yourself. Biggest, baddest sheriff on this planet where every broken law's punishment is death? I saw that's something to be proud of.... Relatively.

However, I'm not the kind of person who's keen on picking a fight with said big, bad Sheriff. The Vault Hunters can tell me how that goes down. I'll just watch from the sidelines, if you don't mind.

Gaige's face went red. "Well see. He wanted me to get these varkid parts for some weird thing he's creating. SO I just took the job without thinking because varkid are pretty easy to kill, and with death trap he can just blast a few at a time while I'm busy picking up the parts." Gaige smiled a bit at the thought of fighting with deathtrap, then remembered the focus of her story, "well... uhm... everything was going great, then some guy decides to walk past and I kind of accidentally maybe shot him." She raised her arms quickly, "but it wasn't my fault. It was ricochet! And he didn't die or anything it was just in the knee." Gaige looked down at her shoes worried that the Siren would look down on her.

There's something rather melodic about the Firehawk's laugh. It's not an obnoxious roar or a shrill cackle, it's something that fits her frame and her personality; it's just right. "Trust me, you're not the only one who's accidentally shot someone in the knee," she says, "Back when we were still Vault Hunters, I nearly got Roland's one time. I didn't think I'd ever see him so spooked, like he went and saw a ghost." Her rouge dusted cheeks begin to ache slightly from smiling. "We laugh about it now. Well, I do, at least. You know Roland, he doesn't have much of a sense of humor." She gently pats the girl's shoulder. "Point is, you're not the first one to have a slight weapon mishap. And besides, so long as you got the job done, everything turns out fine in the end."

Truthfully, Maya doesn’t spend too much time on the reasons. Sure, she’d like to know — it might be something to assist them in taking Jack down — but it’s hard to go looking for hidden pasts when he’s constantly in their faces, figuratively speaking.

Shifting her weight, she unfolds the leg beneath herself, stretching both and crossing them at the ankles. “Can we just chalk it up to him being born a slimy jerk?” Too easy and too simple for someone like him. Maya knows that, becoming more solemn after her joke. “If it’ll help us against Jack, I’d like to find out. It’s about time someone other than him did a little snooping.”

"As much as I like the simple explanations, they don't get us very far," the Firehawk said. She knew by now that nothing was simple (as much as she would love to have missions that didn't come with strings attached or a catch). As much as she loathed Jack, they were still no further from defeating him if they went in blind. They had to know the beast. Know thy enemy, she once read in some burned out old book. "If you find any ECHO's laying around about Jack, it'll certainly help us. And you, especially you."

The Siren's face contorted slightly as she stretched her legs as far as she could, like if she stretched far enough she could grow an inch or two. "Oh man, I need to get some blood flowing to my legs. Want to grab some pizza at Moxxi's? I'm pretty hungry."

From her balcony, the Firehawk noticed that the Vault Hunters were fairly active today. Her golden eyes studied them as they turned in and picked up new jobs, taking their time to weight the the benefits of the rewards for their hard work. Lilith noticed that Maya and Zer0 was usually the ones who took the most time in weighing the pros and cons. Salvador and Axton, not so much. This new crop of Vault Hunters were so unlike herself, Mordecai, Roland, and Brick. And yet they weren't. It some ways, Lilith found that it was like looking back at herself whens he was fresh faced and oblivious to the savagery of Pandora.

With sound of footsteps approaching her spot on the balcony, the woman turned herself around, the pale green glow of the screens in the Raiders' headquarters clashing with the brilliant red of her hair. "Hey there, killer. You finish that job I sent you on?"

Gaige walked in and giggled, "Yeah, it's hard enough to fight for one Pandora, let alone ten pieces of it." She chewed the inside of her lip a little embarrassed about the most recent 'exciting story' she had today. "Well... I did a job for Zed and things got a little... whack."

An eyebrow as red as her vermillion hair raises at the mention of Zed. Lilith had known the 'doctor' for a while now, but she always careful about calling him a doctor seeing that he didn't have a medical license. Still, his custom made shields has saved her and her friends more than once. "Yeah? Well now I'm curious."

Gaige was just walking up the stairs when she noticed Lileth. “Oh! Hi Lileth. uhm.. What’s up?” Gaige stuck her hands in her pockets trying to ‘look cool’ then realized she was trying too hard and just let them hang back to her sides. Being around Lileth made her feel a bit useless as a human being in comparison to everything that she had done. But She still liked being around the Siren.

"Heyy, 'sup," she greeted, a smile upon her crimson red lips. She was stretching her legs after spending the majority of the day in front of the screens in the Crimson Raiders' headquarters. The Firehawk was a woman who enjoyed watching this new crop of Vault Hunters. And she trusted them, she had to. They were Pandora's best hope at stopping Handsome Jack. "Nothing much, doing stuff. Things. Making sure Sanctuary is still in one piece for you guys to come back to." She lazily placed a tattooed hand on her hip. "What's up with you? Any exciting stories to share?"

Jack had written Wilhelm off as a necessary sacrifice long ago. Sending him to that train was meant to disguise the trap for what it was — and I was made to play along. I’m sorry I couldn’t have warned you then.

That won’t happen. I know the Crimson Raiders and the Vault Hunters can stop Jack. I’ll be here to guide you through it, but if we want him to be kept in the dark, I have to be cautious about contacting you.

Can we pretend that we actually accomplished something big for a moment instead of a 'Jack meant to do that' for once? I'd like that a lot, it'll do well for my sanity and for my spirit, you know?

So long as you're on our side. You do what you need to do to keep Jack at bay, we just need to get to the Vault before him and end this once and for all. And who knows, maybe when this is all over we can actually relax for a few days.

I’m making the best of an overload of pizza and sadness! See, I was going to get one of the minions to hoist me onto the city walls so I could rain it all down on Pandora. Maybe a few trick shots — off the mountain, on a stalker, and to a bandit hideout.

“Our benevolent master Claptrap has answered our prayers and delivered delicious, cold, innuendo-laden goodness!” they cheer, their hands raised to the sky as slices of pizza totally slap them in the face. Jack wouldn’t stand a chance.

But screw that noise. That’s too much work. Take what you want, minion!

Right. I'm not even going to ask why you ordered so much. I mean, you're a robot. You can't exactly eat food. Or drink anything. Or do anything with flesh and blood can do.

I'll get these off your hands, but next time don't order so much. People in this town have to eat and we can't go wasting food. And you're not exactly helping out to keep Sanctuary safe either. Don't tell me your beatboxing and dubstep is keeping morale up. Because it's not. It's really not.

“Don’t think that’s an image I’ll be getting out of my head any time soon.” Liquid human remains. Should that even happen? The implications are a little unsettling — okay, more than a little — but at least it’s Lilith with that power. For all intents and purposes, she appears well adjusted and the best equipped for it. Maya won’t argue that much.

Lilith’s theory is as good as any other. The mystery of it aside, Maya isn’t impatient exactly. Curious? That’s closer to the truth. “There’s only one way to find out. Just another reason on the growing list to get that key from Jack.”

"It was definitely something memorable," the phoenix said with a light chuckle. She was already a powerful Siren, but the Eridium took her powers to the next level. It did have consequences, like anything else. It make Lilith weak for a few hours, physically drained and exhausted from using her powers. She needed the Eridium to keep up the magnitude of her powers. A couple of years ago, she was just fighting off bandits. Now she's moving cities. The task was bigger, much bigger. But she took it in stride, like everything else.

She nodded at the other Siren's statement. "Got that right." She paused for a minute, her face turning serious. "What do you think happened to him that made him so... insane?"

Have you ever thought about getting your head examined? Because there's no way any sane person would agree with either of those statements (or choices, whatever). You know what's an even better idea? I don't know, giving everyone the right to a life that's not governed by fear? I know novel concept.

That's a start. I'm not asking you to hop through the computer screen and hold our hands, but we can't take down Jack alone. In hindsight, we did make kind of a dent in Jack's arsenal. Wilhelm is dead thanks to the Vault Hunter. We don't need to worry about him anymore. That's something, right?

Look, so long as you keep up your end of the bargain, then we shouldn't have any problems. I don't want a repeat of what nearly happened at Sanctuary. That was way too close a call.
