im going to throw up in my mouth IF the scenario is that yes the flyers were claude's top choice but danny was like ok we have this offer sheet and we can only fit you in if the ducks do match and claude was like ok sure anything for you danny i can wait and then it turned out the ducks didn't match so now the flyers are strained for cap and danny is like hey claude if you really want we can fit you in but claude loves the flyers and he knows it would be harder for them and he doesn't want to take a spot from the young guys so he just smiles and says it's ok danny i'll just go back to ottawa, it was nice talking to you frequently again, though. what if that's what happened.
