i think that when god made stealing a mortal sin he didnât know that walmart would ever exist
Iâm absolutely not a rabbi, but Iâve been thinking a lot about this, actually, and what stealing might mean to gd. and I know this post is probably a joke but like I said. been thinking about it a lot.
So what a lot of people may not know is that the Torah is mostly like. a farming manual. A day-to-day life guide for 6,000 years ago. And so it has instructions for harvesting, of course. But it says specifically that you shouldnât reap all the way to the edge of your field, and that you should leave that for the poor. It also says that you shouldnât take the fallen grapes from your vineyard, and to leave that also for the poor. And a lot more little things like that.
So why is it encouraged? Why doesnât it count as stealing for the poor to take the food you grew?
I think that gdâs definition of stealing would, in this case, punish you if you did take the fallen food from your fields, because youâd be taking it from the mouths and bellies of people who clearly desperately need it. Itâs not the poor who are stealing, because they are simply trying to survive. I think gd wants us to remember, in our harvests, in our successes, that we have a duty to give what we can to those who need it, and if we donât, thatâs stealing from our fellow human.
I have a lot of pet peeves but I think the biggest one is when people say things like âoh itâs such a small town, only 35,000 peopleâ like bitch my town has 200 people, you need to pick a new adjectiveÂ
According to Wikipedia, a small town is 1,000-20,000 people. So although you are correct in stating that 35,000 people is not a small town (it is a large town), you are incorrect in thinking that you live in a town. You live in a village. You are a villager.
IâŠâŠ donât know what to do with that informationâŠâŠa villagerâŠ
Carlisle being 23 is unfathomable but make no mistake: being a 23 year old in a group of 17 year olds you ARE the father figure. I'm baby, but if I found myself suddenly in charge of a bunch of high schoolers my maternal instincts would shoot to the surface like a beach ball from the bottom of a pool

Yâall be like âthis is why nobody takes feminism seriously anymoreâ. Literally show me a fucking era where men took womenâs liberation movements seriously?
Maybe itâs for the best that Donna and Twelve never met because Iâm pretty sure their interactions wouldâve resulted in a chaotic dumbass energy echo chamber where theyâd be like âoh yeah letâs go steal an EXTEMELY cursed object from a well-gaurded museum while inexplicably dressed like cowboys that just so happen to have incredibly loud spurs on their bootsâ without pausing for even a moment to think of how that might, in fact, be a bad idea and they should at least change shoes first
Now you might say, âwait, I think Donna acted like The Doctorâs impulse control, wouldnât she calm the situation down?â to which I reply âShe was Tenâs impulse control in terms of his impulse to be shitty or self destructive, HOWEVER, when Ten fought off a giant lava monster in Pompeii using a water gun and gusto, her response was not âoh my god what the hell are we doingâ, but âI bloody love you!â. This woman THRIVES on chaos.â
Donna: what are you doing??
12: setting fire to this toaster to see what happens. My bet is that nardole comes down and yells at me for doing that.
Donna: oh wig, let me in on it
include both men & women of color in your action films and not just men of color and white women 2k19 and 2k20
ENOUGH
no offense but that ep of jimmy neutron where they start working at a burger place and jimmyâs the janitor and he sees a pack of salt on the floor and says âoh itâs sodium chlorideâ he should have been fired just for saying that
American patriotism is dwindling.

Thank fucking god for plumbers who are willing to go behind their corporate bossesâ backs and be like âyeah donât pay the 150 dollar emergency fee just gimme 40 bucks under the table, also, donât buy a water heater from us, my boss will charge u like 800 bucks. go to Loweâs and ask for a Scratch nâ Dent, theyâll give you for like 200 bucks. Call me tomorrow and I can install it for you in like an hourâ wow⊠solidarity
I cannot express how much I would rather slip one workperson 40 bucks directly into their pocket for doing me a solid by not making me get ripped off by his bosses, likeâŠâŠ.. thanks bro
