update on this: he dropped the eviction and gave us until the end of the month to leave, we both have apartments lined up in two different cities and are planning on moving on the 25th but as of right now dont have close to enough to cover all the expenses of renting a truck, down payments and gas. more than anything i want a world where a trans girl realizing she is a trans girl faces zero fear from that realization and subsequent coming out. Where she can say "Oh sweet, I can just be a girl? Sign me up!", no worrying if shes girl enough, no worrying if society will accept her, no worrying if she'll be an attractive girl as she transitions, no worrying at all in any way shape or form.

i think you should be allowed to identify as trans without retroactively saying you were also trans in the past. i think the "born this way" rhetoric is limiting and you should be able say stuff like "i was fully a girl when i was a kid and now im a boy" without it invalidating your current identity but maybe that's just me

I kept forgetting my nighttime antidepressant so I set an alarm where the sound was a recording of me saying "HEY. TAKE YOUR FUCKING PILL" because I thought it would be funny. It was funny about three times, and then it started making me mad and I'd dismiss it right away to make it stop. So I handed my phone to my partner, who made another recording sweetly saying "Okay Shira, it's time to take your medication" and now I don't get mad anymore and I take my pill. The "compassion over punishment" camp has gotta get something wrong one of these days

me as a teenager: man it sucks to have no privacy or autonomy but i guess its for a good reason. when i turn 18 i will realise how young i was and understand why they did all that.

me as an adult: teenagers are an oppressed class, their abuse is normalised and systemic and they need to start killing people

so weird when people act like physical disabilities and mental illness/neurodivergence are two groups with zero overlap and that having one means you’re somehow exempt from the other… literally all the physdisabled people i know have comorbid mental illness, often trauma or depression resulting from their disability, but often unrelated stuff like psychosis too. more mentally ill/neurodivergent people than you expect are affected physically by stuff like extrapyramidal antipsychotic side effects. plenty of autistic people have gait issues and uncontrollable stims. eating disorders can cause osteoporosis and incontinence. and of course there’s stuff like brain injuries or parkinsons which are both physically and mentally disabling. etc

my point is. physical disability 🤝 mental illness. there is so much overlap between our communities.
